Islamic Koran: “God Forbid That He Should Have A Son!” (In Conflict With Christian Bible)

There is a great conflict between Christianity and the religion of Islam. The difference can mean the difference between life and death, truth and error and ultimately Heaven and Hell!

Here are some quotes from the KORAN of ISLAM:

“The Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, was no more than God’s apostle . . .God is but one God. GOD FORBID THAT HE SHOULD HAVE A SON!” (4:171)

Those who say: “The Lord of Mercy has begotten a son, preach a monstrous falsehood, at which the very heavens might crack . . .” (19:88)

“God forbid that He Himself should beget a son!” (19:29)

“Praise be to God who has never begotten a son; who has no partner in His Kingdom . . .” (17:111)

“God has begotten a son. ‘God forbid! Self-sufficient is He.! (10:68)

“If the Lord of Mercy had a son, I would be the first to worship him.” (43:72-81)

Now here are some quotes from the BIBLE (Worlds Greatest Book)

First Quote Is From Jesus Christ Prior To His being Slain On The Cross:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten SON, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his SON into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten SON of God. (John 3:16-18)

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten SON into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his SON to be the propitiation for our sins. (1 John 4:9-10)

He that believeth on the SON of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his SON. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his SON. He that hath the SON hath life; and he that hath not the SON of God hath not life. (1 John 5:10-12)

And we know that the SON of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his SON Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. (1 John 5:20)

He that believeth on the SON hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the SON shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. (John 3:36)

This Is An Actual Quote From Jesus Christ After He Rose From The Dead:

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (Mark 16:15-16)

According to the BIBLE, God most definitely has an only begotten Son. Those who believe in Him have everlasting life, but those who do not turn to Him, and believe in Him will be damned. The Bible tells us that the wrath of God is upon those who do not believe in the Son. The Bible also tells us that those who do not believe the record (testimony) that gave of His Son, make God out to be a LIAR! The Bible makes it clear that it was the LOVE of God which caused God to send His Son to be a propitiation (mercy-seat) for our sins.

The religion of ISLAM is diametrically opposed to the very foundation, and center of the Gospel. The two cannot and will not ever agree with each other. Every person has a choice to make and that would include the people of ISLAM. Here is another actual quote from Jesus Christ Himself:

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)

Beware of the FALSE UNITY that has been rising up in these LAST DAYS!

Has Your Name Been Written In Heaven Yet?

Did you know that every true believer has their name written in Heaven? The Bible makes it clear:

But ye are come unto mount Sion (Zion), and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in HEAVEN, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel. (Hebrews 12:22-24)

The true believers in Jesus Christ (both Jew and Gentile) already have their names written in Heaven, because they have been born again of the Spirit of the living God. Every true believer is already part of the Church of the Firstborn, and that is because of Jesus Christ who died for us. (Hallelujah!) When the followers of the Lord, realized that the demons were subject unto them, they got very excited, but Jesus told them to rejoice because their names were written in Heaven.

And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in HEAVEN. (Luke 10:17-20)

The Lord is very concerned about people, and He is very concerned that people worship God in truth also!

The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at JERUSALEM, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the TRUE worshippers shall worship the Father in SPIRIT and in TRUTH: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him MUST worship him in SPIRIT and in TRUTH. (John 4:19-24)

The Lord told that Gentile, unsaved woman that God must be worshiped in spirit and truth, and He even mentioned the city of Jerusalem. Why? Because the physical, geographical location of Jerusalem did not matter one little bit to Jesus! He was concerned about the heart of every individual, and whether or not they truly belonged to God. He also revealed Himself as the Messiah to this Samaritan (Gentile) woman.

The woman saith unto him, I know that MESSIAS (MESSIAH) cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee AM HE. (John 4:25-26)

Jesus made the offer of salvation available to this Gentile woman, and He made salvation available to the Jewish people also! The Jewish people made no bones about their rejection of Christ either, and to this day they still refuse the offer of salvation (for the most part) in Jesus Christ. Here is what Jesus said to the Jewish people of His own time on Earth:

Search the scriptures; for in them ye THINK ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of ME. And ye will NOT come to ME, that ye might have life. (John 5:39-40)

It could not be any clearer than what the Lord has spoken. The Lord flat out told the Jewish people that they would not come to HIM, that THEY might have LIFE (eternal). He told them that their very own scriptures testified about HIM, and yet they still refused Him, as their Messiah! Has anything changed? I am amazed at the nonchalant attitude in the world (and the “church”) regarding the truth about Jesus Christ  as being  the only way of salvation. If a person does not believe that, then they make a mockery out of the scriptures. and they make Jesus Christ a liar. It is quite evident that they are not on their way to Heaven, according to the scriptures.

Jesus was never impressed with the Jewish religious crowd that often surrounded Him. One of them, a man named Nicodemus came to Jesus during the night, because he was searching for truth:

There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye MUST be born again. (John 3:1-7)

Every reader of this article has been born of the flesh (meaning you had a physical birth), but not every one of you has been born of the Spirit, which is an absolute necessity to inherit eternal life! Perhaps you have done many good deeds, and are hoping to get into Heaven by that way. Will that work? Nope. Jesus said that you must be born again. Perhaps you may have turned over a new leaf. Will that get you into Heaven? Nope. Jesus said that you must be born again!

But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he SAVED us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (Titus 3:4-7)

Every living person is living in a corrupt, sin laden body which will ultimately die one day. The scriptures tell us that this physical body (flesh and blood) cannot inherit the Kingdom of God.

The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. Now this I say, brethren, that FLESH and BLOOD cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. (1 Corinthians 15:47-50)

Are you still in your sins and without a Saviour? Are you absolutely sure that you have salvation in Jesus Christ? Are you a new creation in Christ or are you hoping that your ‘good life’ is going to pave your way into Heaven for you?

Therefore if any man be IN CHRIST, he is a NEW CREATURE (CREATION): old things are passed away; behold, all things are become NEW. (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV)

Has your name been written in Heaven yet? Is your name written in the book of Life? Do you realize, and understand that ALL mankind will be judged one day? Are you ready? Are you sure?

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the BOOK OF LIFE: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And WHOSOEVER was not found written in the BOOK OF LIFE was cast into the LAKE OF FIRE. (Revelation 20:12-15)

Is Your Pastor Or Preacher A False Prophet? (How To Discern A False Prophecy)

We are living in very troubling times, and there are many people in the religious world who come forth with sometimes spectacular prophecies. Many (probably most) of these types of prophecies come forth from the ‘Pentecostal circles’ and many (if not all) of these prophecies never come to pass as predicted. Here are two very simple guidelines to remember when trying to discern a false prophecy, and they are both biblically based of course.

NUMBER ONE: If a person (Preacher, Pastor or any other person) brings forth a prophecy which points you in the direction of other (false) ‘gods’ then it is not of the Lord.

If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. (Deuteronomy 13:1-4)

Beware of Ecumenical type pastors who say that ALL religions are good

They put their stamp of approval upon false religious systems that cannot save your soul

That type of teaching is rampant in the day we live in

NUMBER TWO: If a person (Preacher, Pastor or any other person) brings forth a prophecy and predicts an event of any sort, and it does not come to pass, then it is not of the Lord.

But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him. (Deuteronomy 18:20-22)

False prophecies are a dime a dozen in this modern day

Just think about all of the prophecies over the past 20-30 years that have been made by ‘famous’ Pastors, preachers and book authors!

They prophesy about an event or events, and they name a time period, sometimes the very year, but nothing happens!

The prophesied year comes and it goes, with NO FULFILLMENT of that prophecy

So what do the ‘anointed’ men (and women) of God do when their prophecies are NOT fulfilled as predicted?

They put an EXTENDER on their FALSE PROPHECIES sometime into the FUTURE to salvage their FALSE PROPHECY if they can

SAD thing, but the people still follow them, despite all of the FALSE PROPHECIES, instead of studying the WORD of GOD for themselves!

Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart. (Jeremiah 14:14)

I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed. How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart; (Jeremiah 23:25-26)

Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD. (Jeremiah 23:32)

No Deals With The Devil

Today I would like to speak to you on the topic of making deals with the devil. I choose the sub topic of Israel and the issue preaching of the Gospel to them as an example. As we take a look around at the events in the world today, it is an absolute must that the true Christian understand that the only hope for Israel (and the rest of the world) is found in the person of Jesus Christ. Multitudes have been bamboozled by the modern day preachers regarding Israel, but a simple reading of the scriptures will cut through that deceitfulness.

The apostle Paul was strong in his testimony for Jesus Christ, and his defense of the Gospel right  up until the very end of his life. Paul never made any deals with the Devil. Any person who reads the scriptures for themselves will see that too. It is quite simple. Paul was formerly against Christ, he got saved, and that totally changed the course of his life. After that, he preached Christ to both Jew and Gentile and he was persecuted for that. That should be the testimony of any person who has been truly saved. They get saved, they understand that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation, as revealed by the Holy Spirit, through the Word of God, and they tell others the very same thing. Nothing fancy, no banners, no balloons, no fireworks, no glittering lights, just plain and simple salvation in Jesus Christ! It is time to make up your mind. No deals with the Devil!

And it came to pass, that after three days Paul called the chief of the Jews together: and when they were come together, he said unto them, Men and brethren, though I have committed nothing against the people, or customs of our fathers, yet was I delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans. Who, when they had examined me, would have let me go, because there was no cause of death in me. But when the Jews spake against it, I was constrained to appeal unto Caesar; not that I had ought to accuse my nation of. For this cause therefore have I called for you, to see you, and to speak with you: because that for THE HOPE OF ISRAEL I am bound with this chain. (Acts 28:17-20)

Paul was constantly harassed and persecuted for simply preaching Jesus Christ, as the only way of salvation and he specifically called Christ, THE HOPE OF ISRAEL! Paul did not want to make any deals with the Devil, and he knew that the world was filled with religious leaders who knew not the Lord, as well as politicians who sought their own gain. He could have bargained with the people who were against him, and told them that there were many ways to Heaven, and maybe he got it all wrong about Jesus, but he did not do that.

And they said unto him, We neither received letters out of Judaea concerning thee, neither any of the brethren that came shewed or spake any harm of thee. But we desire to hear of thee what thou thinkest: for as concerning this sect, we know that every where it is spoken against. And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning JESUS, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening. (Acts 28:21-23)

It is very interesting that the word ’sect’ was used all the way back then in Paul’s time to describe the people Paul was hanging around with. That very same word ’sect’ has been used in the past by the Roman Catholic Popes to describe those Bible believing born again believers who have the testimony of Jesus Christ and reject their man-made traditions as false. The apostle Paul was given the opportunity to state his position, and he did what he always did, and went to the scriptures. He spoke out of the law of Moses, and he spoke from the books of the prophets. Paul had one goal in mind, and that was to convince the people (including the Jewish people) that Jesus was in fact the Christ (Messiah), and the one they needed for salvation. Once again, it is quite simple. Paul had his mind made up, and he preached Christ wherever he went! There would be no deals with the Devil.

That should be the testimony of EVERY true born again Bible believing Christian, especially Pastors, who have been entrusted with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If a person is standing in a pulpit in a church that identifies itself as Christian, and they suppress the truth of the Gospel, then they do not belong there. If they fail to warn the people that they will die in their sins without Christ, then they should not be there. If they hold back the truth that ALL people including the Jewish people, are LOST without Christ, then they should not be there. There is no room for any deals with the Devil in this Christian life. It is much too serious a matter, this issue of salvation. Yes, we are talking about where people will spend eternity. Yes we are talking about YOUR own loved ones and YOUR own relatives. Yes, we are talking about YOUR own wonderful children, who need to be instructed in the way of the Lord, because their very souls are at stake here! Make up your mind, once and for all, that there will be no deals with the Devil!

And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not. And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the HOLY GHOST by Esaias (ISAIAH) the prophet unto our fathers, Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive: For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. (Acts 28:24-27)

What did the apostle Paul do here? He referred to the prophet Isaiah (Isaiah 6:8-10) and AGREED with him, that the people of Israel were spiritually blind and deaf regarding the Gospel truth! Paul also made it clear that it was the Holy Ghost (Spirit) who spoke through the prophet Isaiah. The apostle Paul applied the words of the prophet Isaiah to his own present day, and to the people of Israel. Does that same word stand true today for the people of Israel and around the world? It most definitely does apply to the Jewish people around the world, and it also applies to Gentiles (non-Jewish) also. We are living in a day when you will hear  the ”religious’ people speak about the ‘three great faiths’ in the world namely, Christian, Muslim and Judaism. Wait a minute, where is that in the Bible? The Bible makes it clear that there has been only ONE people of God, who followed the TRUE and LIVING GOD! The Bible makes it most emphatically clear that there is only ONE way of salvation, and that is through Jesus Christ., the eternal Son of God. That could be a problem though, because the Muslims do not believe that God even has a Son, and the Jewish people rejected Jesus as the Son of God (John 5:18) and wanted to KILL Him for that very reason! Are you ashamed to preach Jesus Christ as the ONLY way of salvation in front of people? Are you ashamed to say that in front of your family? Are you ashamed to say that in front of your co-workers? What are the consequences of denying Jesus Christ in this modern day of compromise, where anything goes? Do the words below still apply to us today?

Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I CONFESS also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also DENY before my Father which is in heaven. Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. (Matthew 10:32-34)

Who spoke those words? They were spoken by Jesus Christ Himself! Christian friend, the Lord Jesus Christ is confessing you before His very own Father in HEAVEN when you are confessing Him (testifying) about Him on earth. But those who DENY the Lord here on Earth, the Lord is also DENYING before His very own Father in HEAVEN! The Lord does not make any deals with the Devil because truth and error can never mix. Jesus fought off the Devil, using the sword of the Spirit (God’s Word) when the wicked one came looking to make a deal with Him, (Matthew 4:1-11) and we all need to follow His example.

Jesus never made a deal with the Devil and He does not want ANY of His followers to make any deals with him either. Jesus also declared that He did not come to bring peace on earth, but what did He mean by that? He meant that He did not come to make any deals with those who reject Him. Jesus was adamant in His teaching that when Christ came into a household, there would be some who would believe and there would be some who would not believe. That is exactly what He was talking about there, and He followed it up by saying this:

For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man’s FOES shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. (Matthew 10:35-40)

There are households by the millions who have those who believe in Christ, and those who reject Him. Do not be ensnared by that great temptation to PLEASE your unsaved family at the risk of denying Jesus Christ Himself. It happens all the time, and yet many still believe that they are following Christ, when they are not. Take heed to the warning that Christ gives us all here! If you truly desire Heaven, then you should avoid those sweet temptations, and Gospel fudging deals that so many thousands of Christian ‘leaders’ have accepted, and passed down to their own congregations, ever so craftily. They have accepted those compromising deals with the Devil, to make their life on this Earth, all the more pleasant, unaware that their very souls are at stake. In contrast to them is the apostle Paul who was so appreciative of the great mercy, and salvation which Christ had shown to him, that he never made  a deal with the Devil. He was not ashamed to tell others that Jesus Christ was the  ONLY way of salvation for both Jew and Gentile!

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of CHRIST: for it is the power of GOD unto SALVATION to every one that believeth; to the JEW first, and also to the Greek. (Gentile) (Romans 1:16)

No deals with the Devil!

When Famous People Die

For some strange reason it seems that whenever a well known person dies it tends to get our attention and makes us think about the afterlife a little more than we usually do.  If we read the newspaper or watch the evening news we will often be given a chronology of that persons life.  If a person was a movie star, the media will talk about their greatest movies and then go on to rehash the intimate details of that persons life.  If  a person was a famous athlete, all of the statistics of that persons career will be given for people to remember.  If a person was a rock star the public will be given the list of their greatest hits, and how many millions of albums were sold over the years.

Often the writers will go on to say that this famous person is now at peace and in Heaven.  Sometimes the newspaper cartoonist will have a cartoon with a sketch of that famous person sitting in the clouds with other famous faces from that same field of business.  If they were a movie star they will show that person with other famous movie stars of the past who have died.  If they were a famous rock star they will tell you that this famous rock star is now “jamming with the music greats in Heaven” who passed on.  If the famous person was a baseball player then perhaps they might show that person sliding into homeplate with the clouds  and the “Pearly Gates” as a background.  This all sounds nice, and it most definitely will evoke many wonderful memories from the past, but the question must be asked doesn’t anybody go to Hell anymore?

Should we go by what the media reports tell us or should we look to the Word of God for the answer to that question?  I choose to belive the Bible and more specifically, the words of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (Matthew 7:13-14)

Here the Lord is talking about the way of eternal life, which ultimately takes a person to Heaven.  The Lord Jesus Christ tells us that there are only a few who find it, and not the majority as most people would probably say today.  Many people believe that only hard core murderers and others like them end up in Hell but that is not true.  The Bible tells us this about the human heart:

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? (Jeremiah 17:9)

It is a natural human tendency for us to see ourselves as basically “good people” but a fair reading of the Bible will show us the exact opposite.  If we examine ourselves using the murderers as the standard then we may not look that bad, but if we let the Word of God examine our hearts then there is not a one of us who will come out “looking good.” The Bible even says this about people who are Christians regarding their former past:

And you hath he quickened (made alive), who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. (Ephesians 2:1-3)

Do you see that?  The Bible tells us that we as believers in Jesus Christ were “by nature children of wrath even as others.” The only thing that a Christian has to boast about is the mercy and grace that Christ has shown them.  God’s Word tells me that I was a child of wrath by my own very nature!  I deserved nothing but the lowest part of Hell and it was only the Lord who showed me that.  Not only that but the Bible tells us in that passage of scripture that we used to walk in the same way of “disobedience” as “others” which means that the “others” are still walking that way and therefore they are at present still “children of wrath.”

The Lord Jesus Christ spoke often about Hell and He told the story of a rich man who went to Hell and could not get out. In that passage of scripture  the man spoke with Abraham and begged him for water:

And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. (Luke 16:24-26)

We can see from this passage of scripture that a person is conscious in Hell and they are most definitely in pain.  The one telling this is Jesus Christ, the creator of Heaven and Earth and the most compassionate person to ever walk this Earth.  I encourage you to read the whole account in Luke 16:19-31 to get a clearer picture of what a person can expect if they die without Jesus Christ.

So this is what happens after death according to Jesus Christ for those who do not turn to Him for salvation.  I remind you that these are not my opinions but they are the words of my Creator, my Lord and my Savior Jesus Christ.  The apostle Paul, who was a former murderer, wrote these words:

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. (Romans 5:8-10)

Charles Stanley’s False Teaching Refuted By Jesus Christ Himself

The topic of the eternal security of the believer is an interesting topic indeed. In this short article I examine the teaching of Charles Stanley (Atlanta, GA) and compare it with the simple teaching of Jesus Christ regarding those who are cast into the furnace of fire.

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils. (1 Timothy 4:1)

This is a very interesting passage of scripture. The Jewish apostle Paul, the same one who was converted on the road to Damascus, and a former murderer of Christians, wrote those words. Paul knew what it was like to be deceived. Paul was a Jewish Pharisee, and if one were to examine his life they would probably find an extremely moral man. One might even call him “holy”, but in the sight of God he was religious but lost! He did not know the true and living God until he met Him that day on the road to Damascus.

Keep that in mind whenever you read the letters of Paul, because you are hearing from a man who was ever so grateful for the mercy shown to him on that day. His desire was that others would come out of deception and come to know Jesus Christ. In the passage above, which is from the first letter that Paul wrote to Timothy, Paul tells us that the Spirit had spoken, that in the latter times [the latter days] there would be some who would depart from the faith, and give heed to seducing spirits and doctrines [teachings] of devils.

The Greek word for DEPART in that passage is the word APHISTEMI and it is defined as follows: To remove, instigate to revolt, to desist, desert, depart, draw [fall] away, refrain, withdraw self.

Now is this talking about people who truly knew the Lord at one time, or is it talking about those who merely professed to be saved, but in reality they were lost.

The passage above is talking about GENUINE believers in Jesus Christ, who get seduced by false teachers, and their doctrines, and depart from the faith.

An unsaved man cannot depart from the faith, because they never had faith to begin with.

Why on earth would the Holy Spirit [of truth] come forth with a warning about the unsaved departing from the faith?

How can the unsaved be seduced away from a place of faith that they were never at to begin with?

Why would the devil come with his doctrines to seduce the unsaved, who he already holds captive at his will? [2 Timothy 2:26]

Taking The Warnings Seriously

It is spiritually dangerous to attempt to make the scriptures say something that they are not saying. An example of what can happen, when you try to make the scriptures fit your own preconceived theology, can be found here:

In the book of Matthew 25:14-30 Jesus spoke about the parable of the talents. He is speaking on the subject of the ”Kingdom of Heaven”. Jesus shows us the fate of the”unprofitable servant” in the following verse from that passage:

And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Matthew 25:30)

INTERPRETATION: CHARLES STANLEY

Charles Stanley, the well known Pastor and media minister from Atlanta, Georgia, said this concerning that same passage of scripture:

“Where is this place represented by the ‘outer darkness’ in Jesus’ parables? To be in the ‘outer darkness’ is to be in the kingdom of God but outside the circle of men and women whose faithfulness on this earth earned them a special rank or position of authority. The ‘outer darkness’ represents not so much an actual place as it does a sphere of influence and privilege.”

Concerning the ”gnashing of teeth” Charles Stanley goes on to say that these people were ”extremely frustrated with themselves” and ”As some are celebrated for their faithfulness, others will gnash their teeth in frustration…” And ”we do not know how long this time of rejoicing and sorrow will last. Those whose works are burned up will not weep and gnash their teeth for eternity.” [Charles Stanley: Eternal Security, Can You Be Sure? Pages 126-127]

So according to Charles Stanley there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth in the outer darkness of Heaven! I don’t know about you but the place that he is describing sure sounds a lot like Hell to me.

Do you know why?

BECAUSE IT IS HELL!

INTERPRETATION: JESUS CHRIST

If you read the full parable in Matthew 25:14-30 you will see that the Lord Jesus Christ referred to the ‘unprofitable servant’ as “WICKED”.

Are the wicked going to enter the kingdom of Heaven along with the faithful? Not according to Jesus Christ, the creator of all things.

So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the WICKED from among the just, And shall cast them into the FURNACE OF FIRE: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. (Matthew 13:49-50)

Jesus said that the WICKED were going to be cast into the ”furnace of fire” and that is where there is going to be ‘wailing and gnashing of teeth.’

The Greek word for WICKED in Matthew 25:26 is the word PONEROS and it is the very same Greek word used in Matthew 13:49 describing those people whom Jesus said would be cast into the ”furnace of fire”.

The Greek word for WEEPING in Matthew 25:30 is the word KLAUTHMOS and it is the very same Greek word used for WAILING in Matthew 13:50 describing those people who Jesus said would be cast into the ”furnace of fire”.

The Greek word for GNASHING in Matthew 25:30 is the word BRUGMOS and it is the very same Greek word that is used in Matthew 13:50 describing those whom Jesus said would be cast into the ”furnace of fire”.

Are there people weeping and gnashing their teeth in Heaven?

When a Christian shares the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the unsaved, should they tell them that they have a choice between Heaven or Hell, as to where they can wail and gnash their teeth?

The answer to the questions above are obviously an emphatic NO!

In fact the whole idea of wailing and gnashing of teeth in Heaven is ludicrous.

The apostle Paul was truly speaking in the Spirit, all those years ago, when he told us that some “shall depart from the faith”, but the question is this: Is anybody listening??

On the back cover of the classic book on this subject, “Life In The Son” by Robert Shank, the following is written:

“Are the proof passages used to support eternal security possibly misconstrued? Dr. Shank convincingly argues that the question confronting us is not, Is the believer secure? but rather, What does it mean to be a believer? If apostasy is an actual peril for every Christian, the Scriptural warning passages must be frankly accepted rather than interpreted into irrelevance or circumvented by theological hypothesis.

“Life In The Son” by Robert Shank was also endorsed by Dr. William Adams of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

O Fools And Slow Of Heart . . .

The New Testament writers often quoted from the Old Testament (Covenant) scriptures to show that Jesus was indeed the very Christ (Messiah) . Jesus Himself stressed the importance of knowing the Word of God, when He spoke to His own disciples (followers). Here is an actual quote from Jesus Christ after He was killed and had already risen from the dead:

Then he (Jesus) said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? And beginning at MOSES and ALL the PROPHETS, he expounded unto them in all the SCRIPTURES the things CONCERNING HIMSELF. (Luke 24:25-27)

This is truly amazing. Here the Lord is standing before His very own followers, with the wounds from the crucifixion visible to all, and He is preaching to them! His disciples must have been dumbfounded and ecstatic at the same time, as they listened to Him speak. Do not miss the truth here that Jesus went through  the scriptures, specifically mentioning Moses and the prophets, which covers a lot of ground. The Bible does not tell us what specific scriptures Jesus quoted to them, but you can rest assured that they were scriptures that prophesied about Him. Jesus let them know that Christ (Messiah), speaking of Himself, needed to suffer and die before He entered into his glory. More than likely Jesus quoted from the 53rd chapter of the prophet Isaiah, which spoke of His death upon the cross. That prophecy (Isaiah 53:1-12) was written almost 700 years before it actually happened!

The scriptures still stand as true today as they did back then, and the Lord would desire that all people would see that He is indeed the one ,whom Moses, and the prophets spoke about. We must not forget that Moses and the prophets were pointing to Jesus Christ who is greater than them all.

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his SON, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had BY HIMSELF purged OUR SINS, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; (Hebrews 1:1-3)

God in the past has spoken though the prophets, but NOW, in these LAST DAYS, He has spoken to us through His SON! Jesus Christ is greater than Moses  and ALL of the prophets put together. The apostle John learned that lesson in the book of Revelation when he acted impulsively, and bowed down to worship an angel:

And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of JESUS: worship God: for the testimony of JESUS is the spirit of PROPHECY. (Revelation 19:10)

The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy! It all points to Jesus Christ.

And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am ALPHA and OMEGA, the BEGINNING and the END, the FIRST and the LAST. (Revelation 22:8-13)

Who is the Alpha and Omega, and the Beginning and the Ending, and the ALMIGHTY? It is Jesus Christ, the one who was PIERCED and KILLED for our sins!

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. I am ALPHA and OMEGA, the BEGINNING and the ENDING, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the ALMIGHTY. (Revelation 1:7-8)

Who is the First and the Last? It is Jesus Christ.

And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the FIRST and the LAST: I am he that LIVETH, and was DEAD; and, behold, I am ALIVE for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. (Revelation 1:17-18)

Who is the First and the Last? It is God, and there are no other’ gods’ beside Him!

Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the FIRST, and I am the LAST; and beside me there is no GOD. (Isaiah 44:6)

Do you KNOW  the Lord Jesus Christ or do you know ABOUT Him?

Do you believe the words of Moses and the prophets?

Do you believe that He died on the cross for your sins, and rose again from the dead?

Do you have ETERNAL LIFE which is found in the SON Jesus Christ or are you still DEAD in your own sins?

If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of GOD which he hath testified of his SON. (1 John 5:9-12)

The Lord Is My Light And My Salvation, Whom Shall I Fear?

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalms 27:1)

Oh what powerful and beautiful words does the Psalmist David speak to us here! Can you utter these words today regarding yourself? Do you know the Lord? Is the Lord your light and your salvation? Who is this Lord that is described as a LIGHT here in this Psalm? Is this speaking about Jesus Christ? Oh yes it is, in fact Jesus referred to Himself as the LIGHT of the world!

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. (John 8:12)

If you follow the Lord Jesus Christ, He promised you that you would not walk in darkness. He will be my guide and your guide and he will never let you down! If you are not sure what to do in a given situation, then call upon the name of the Lord for guidance. Pray and search the scriptures and ask the Lord to guide you and He will. We need not fear anybody when we know the Lord either! Does that mean that we will not have any trouble in this life? No, but even if people kill you, that would be a promotion to headquarters for the true believer in Jesus Christ! Listen to what Jesus Christ told His followers:

And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. (Luke 12:4-5)

If you are a true born again Christian, then you have the Spirit of the LIVING GOD living inside your heart! You know the REAL Jesus Christ and you know it deep inside your heart. Satan knows that too and the Devil will do all that he can to take you (and me) out, but we need not fear, because we have the Lord Jesus Christ as our LIGHT and our SALVATION! Whom shall we fear?

Are you feeling weak and tired and spiritually oppressed today? Well the Lord is the strength that you and I both need in our life today. Yesterday’s strength will not do. Yesterday’s strength was for yesterday. We need the Lord’s strength today and the Lord has an endless supply. The problems that come along today are different than yesterday, and I need the Lord even more than yesterday, and so do you.

And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. (Psalms 50:15)

The Lord is our great deliverer, and only He can do great and mighty things, and we will give him all the glory when the great deliverance comes!

But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble. (Psalms 59:16)

It is a wonderful thing to know that the Lord is a merciful God! He NEVER runs out of mercy! Have you messed up as a Christian, and think that the Lord wants nothing to do with you? That is a LIE from the DEVIL himself! Remember this: The Lord will always draw people to Himself, BUT the Devil condemns and will seek to destroy you any way he can! If this describes YOU, then RUN to the Lord for mercy, and receive it and BELIEVE that He wants to show YOU mercy, more than you want it!

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. (1 Timothy 1:15-16)

The man who wrote the words above was the Jewish apostle Paul. He was a former persecutor of Christians, and he consented even unto the death of some of them. But then Paul got saved! The rest is history. If the Lord can reach down and SAVE a wretch such as Paul, do you think that He can save you also? Is your sin so bad that the Lord cannot forgive you? Paul obtained MERCY and he certainly needed that mercy. I also obtained mercy, because I needed mercy. Every living person on planet earth needs the same mercy that Paul received and it is still available to them 24/7 and even as long as there is breath in their body!

The Five Wise And The Five Foolish Virgins (As A Thief In the Night)

Here is a very interesting parable spoken by the Lord Jesus Christ, the creator of all things. (John 1:1-3, Isaiah 44:24, Genesis 1:1)

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. (Matthew 25:1-13)

This parable speaks about the Kingdom of Heaven (where most people hope to go) and it also speaks about the Bridegroom, which is Jesus Christ, and when He comes again for His faithful followers. The Lord Jesus Christ  would constantly emphasize the truth about being ready, and watchful, in our walk through this dark, and deceitful world, and this parable is no different. The truth of the matter is that we do not know when the Lord is going to return, but that we should live our own lives, as if it were imminent. It is true that it has been nearly two thousand years since the Lord was killed, resurrected from the dead, and risen into Heaven but that should not matter at all to us. There have been countless millions who were faithful followers of the Lord, who never saw His second coming to this earth, but they lived as if it would happen in their own lifetime. It is very possible that we may not see the second coming in our own lives either, but we should live this life, as if it will!

My wife and I were dining in a Cracker Barrel restaurant some months ago (great family restaurant), and they have oil lamps attached to certain tables. I took a look at the lamp on our table and I noticed that the oil was extremely low, almost kissing the bottom of the glass enclosure. I cannot tell you how many times I looked at that oil lamp during the course of our meal, waiting for that lamp to go out. I told my wife Cathy to look at the lamp and we both gasped and we conversed about the parable of the ten virgins (five wise and five foolish). We were both amazed that  the lamp did not go out while we we were there, because the oil was so low. For those of you who are not familiar with oil lamps, it is a lamp that includes a  glass bottle enclosure (some simple, some fancy) which holds the oil, along with a cloth wick which is soaked in the oil on one end,  with the other end extending to the open part of the lamp. The oil is the fuel which keeps the lamp burning after the wick is lit with a flame on the other end. It is that simple.

This parable of the Ten Virgins was the last one that the Lord had given to His followers before he would be slain on the cross for our sins. This parable came from the heart of our loving Saviour as he was about to suffer in our place. We need to take the Lord at His word, and we are not to twist the meaning here to make it say something that the Lord never intended to say. We all know that the bride prepares for her marriage to the groom. We the church (both Jewish and Gentile believers) are  those who the Lord was speaking about in this parable. The oil in the lamps is reprsentative of the Holy Spirit, and the very presence of the Lord in our lives.

The Lord compared our waiting on this earth for Him to come, as virgins who are waiting for their bridegroom to come. This life with all of it’s trials and tribulations can weary the best of us, and with the help of Satan (the devil), our faith in Jesus Christ is constantly being tested. There are many enticements that come along the way, which call out our name, and try to take us away from following the Lord, and that is the very reason for parables such as this one. The bottom line here folks is that the Bridegroom came at midnight, and only half of the ten virgins were ready for that moment! The five wise were prepared and ready to enter into that wedding but the five foolish virgins were taken by surprise, and realized that their lamps had been extinguished. Panic began to set in to their hearts as they realized what was happening! But it was too late! To say that these five foolish virgins never knew the Lord, is to destroy the very meaning, and purpose, of the Lord’s instruction to His people! Their lights were most definitely lit and burning prior to their going out! I have owned oil lamps in the past, and I have watched them go out, when the oil ran dry! The parable makes it very clear that the five foolish virgins had oil in their lamps at one time. The Greek word SBENNUMI is used there for “gone out” and it literally means to extinguish, to go out,  or to quench. There have been countless millions who have turned back from following the Lord over the centuries, and while they did not literally witness the second coming, the truth of being prepared for eternity, was as true for them , as it is for us.

This parable is going to be fulfilled exactly as the Lord has told it here. Keep in mind that this great advice came from the heart of  one who would willingly go to the cross, and be butchered for our sins. You can surely trust Him, if nobody else! There will be a second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, and many will be caught off guard and realize that they had allowed their hearts to harden against the Lord, and they had allowed the “ways of the world” capture their hearts once again. This walk with the Lord is a day by day walk, and as we call upon Him for strength, He always proves faithful. The Lord has an endless supply of grace, mercy and strength for each and every one of us if we truly desire it.

I can remember looking at that oil lamp in the Cracker Barrel restaurant, and praying inwardly to the Lord to help me in my walk with Him. I know that the Lord can use little things like that, to get our attention sometimes.

But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. (1 Thessalonians 5:1-3)

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. (2 Peter 3:9-13)

John Hagee And His Deceptive Stand Concerning ISRAEL

I remember viewing a convention which was televised for Christians United For Israel (CUFI). The CUFI is an organization which was founded by Pastor and author John Hagee which encourages Christians to stand with the modern state of Israel. The person speaking was a Jewish man by the name of David Brog (Executive Director of CUFI).  I listened as he sang the praises of former US President Harry Truman, because President Truman recognized Israel as a state.  President Truman was the president that authorized the use of atomic bombs over in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.  Mr Brog then sang similar praises about John Hagee, who received a standing ovation as he was introduced.

I listened as Mr Brog spoke in a room filled with people claiming to be Christians.  He told them that their Christian theology demands that they stand with Israel.  I knew where he was coming from and I am fully aware of what is being taught in many evangelical churches today.  I used to believe certain dispensational teachings, such as the land belonging to Israel, because that’s what was being taught in most churches.  However my further study of the scriptures revealed otherwise.  I never believed for a moment that a person Jewish or Gentile could be saved apart from faith in Jesus Christ.  I had no idea that many of the Bible teachers taught that the Jewish people were still God’s chosen people and that they are still in covenant with him, even though they do not believe that Jesus is the Christ (Messiah).

In recent years , I have been hearing  Bible teachers talk about the church of Jesus Christ as being a mere parenthesis in God’s plan and that the Jewish people are under a different covenant.  I came across an article by the Christian Research Institute regarding Pastor John Hagee, which was Statement DH005. Here are a few excerpts from that statement:

“Trying to convert Jews is a waste of time he (Hagee) said.

Everyone else whether Buddhist or Baha’i needs to believe in Jesus, he says. But not Jews, Jews already have a covenant with God that has never been replaced with Christianity he says.

The Jewish people have a relationship with God through the law of God as given through Moses, Hagee said. I believe that every Gentile person can only come to God through the cross of Christ. I believe that every Jewish person who lives in light of the Torah, which is the word of God, has a relationship with God and will come to redemption.

The Law of Moses is sufficient enough to bring a person into the knowledge of God until God gives him a greater revelation. And God has not said Hagee.”

[Statement DH005 , Christian Research Institute, Charlotte, NC]

SALVATION FOR THE JEW ACCORDING TO JESUS CHRIST

It is absolutely amazing to me that John Hagee could make such statements as those above considering the overwhelming proof in God’s Word that contradict what he said.  The greatest revelation that God has given to the Jewish people and the rest of the world is found in Jesus Christ. In other words Jesus Christ is God’s last word to mankind, and that most certainly includes the Jewish people. Listen to what Jesus Christ said to the Jewish people of his time:

Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. (John 5:39-40)

To totally understand the impact of the words above, we must not forget that the one who is speaking is Jesus Christ.  Many do not realize that the word CHRIST actually means MESSIAH. So it is Jesus the Messiah who is doing the talking.  Jesus is the one who was sent from the Father above to preach the Kingdom of God, and ultimately become the BLOOD ATONEMENT for the sin of mankind.

Jesus the Messiah encouraged the Jewish people to search the scriptures (their very own Torah) because they thought they had eternal life. Jesus then made it clear to them that their own Torah testified about him, but they still would not come to him, that they might have life.  Please do not miss this folks, because Jesus was telling the Jewish people that the very life and salvation which they desired, could only be found in him. Jesus went on to say this to them:

Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? (John 5:45-47)

Jesus was pushing home the same point once again, that the scriptures (the Torah, the books of Moses) had enough in them to show that he (Jesus) was the prophesied Messiah. That is why Jesus told them, that if they believed Moses then they would have naturally believed him. In the New Testament book of Acts there is a portion of scripture that will help us understand this better:

For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people. Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days. Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities. (Acts 3:22-26)

The words above were spoken by the apostle Peter to the people of Israel after the miraculous healing of a lame man at the temple gate. Peter told the people of Israel that the man was healed by the power of Jesus Christ. Peter then told them that this same Jesus was “the Prophet” whom Moses spoke and wrote about in (Deuteronomy 18:15-18), and that those who would not “hear that Prophet” (Jesus the Christ) would be destroyed!  Peter then went on to say that all of the prophets (in the Old Covenant scriptures) foretold of the days which were taking place right then and there. Peter then went all the way back to Abraham to show the people that all the people of the earth (that includes absolutely everybody) would be blessed through Abraham’s seed (offspring)  and that seed (offspring)  is Jesus Christ.

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of ONE, And to thy SEED, which is CHRIST. (Galatians 3:16)

In plain and simple language, the Jewish apostle Paul  told the people that Jesus Christ was, and is, the promised seed (offspring) by whom ALL of the nations of the world would be blessed. Paul told them the very same thing that Peter told the people of Israel after that awesome miracle.  The whole of the Old Covenant scriptures pointed to the time when Jesus the Christ (Messiah) arrived on the scene.  The message that Peter gave regarding that “Prophet” is right in line with the salvation or damnation message that Jesus gave after he rose from the dead. (Mark 16:15-20) The words of Jesus Christ below, become absolutely meaningless if a Jewish person could be saved without faith in Jesus Christ, by living in light of the Torah.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)

Jesus declared that NO MAN would be able to come to the Father unless thay came through him, because the Father is the one who sent him.  That means that there will not be any person Jewish or Gentile (the rest of the world) who would be able to go to the Father (in heaven) unless they come though the Son whom he sent. Peter spoke along those very same lines when he spoke to the people of Israel:

Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:10-12)

Could the scriptures be any clearer than this? The people of Israel are being addressed here by the apostle Peter and he told them that there was no other name by which they might be saved outside the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Read it again. Peter was speaking to the children of Israel there and the message that he gave them back then has not changed one drop since that time!

The passage below was written by the Jewish apostle Paul:

But God forbid that I should glory, save (except) in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. For neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. (Galatians 6:14-16)

Paul made it clear in that passage of scripture that he gloried only in the cross of Jesus Christ, and then he linked those who would walk according to that same rule to the “Israel of God.”  Paul also wrote the following:

Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: (Romans 9:6)

Paul was obviously putting a difference between the people of ethnic Israel and those of the “Israel of God” who recognized Jesus as the Messiah!

David Brog stated, at the CUFI convention the other night, that Christian theology demands that Christians stand with Israel. I would like to tell Mr. Brog that my theology demands that I stand for the truth, and that I preach the gospel to both Jew and Gentile. My Christian theology tells me that David Brog needs to repent and believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ, or he will die in his own sins. Any Gospel preacher who is worth their salt would tell him the same thing.  Jesus declared the truth plainly and with boldness and to water down the message of the gospel is a fatal mistake:

And he (Jesus) said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. (John 8:23-24)

The Lord Jesus Christ told the Jewish people of his day that he came from above (heaven), and that the consequences of not believing that he was the one who was sent from the Father (the Messiah), would be to die in their sins. The plain and simple truth is that every person who sat at that convention, whether Jew or Gentile, who rejects Jesus Christ as their Savior, will die in their sins and end up in hell. To preach anything other than that is to preach a bogus gospel. If ever there was a people who are responsible before the Lord it is the Jewish people. To declare that God has not given them the necessary revelation is nothing less than mind boggling. The Jewish apostle Paul consented to the murder of Christians before he was saved (Acts 8:3, 22:4, 26:9-11).  He then made a complete about face and preached that Jesus was the Christ (Messiah). He wrote the following words:

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16)

Paul, the Jewish apostle of Jesus Christ, tells us that the gospel was to go the Jew first. In fact Paul identified those who are the children of Abraham:

Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. (Galatians 3:7)

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:28-29)

That very same Jewish apostle Paul told us that there is absolutely no difference between the Jew and the Greek (Gentile).  No difference! The only ones who can be called the children of Abraham are those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ. John Hagee spoke about the Jewish people living in light of the Torah, but the Torah contains the Ten Commandments which stops and silences any person from justifying themself before a righteous God! (Romans 3:19-20) In fact the Torah contains everything about the sacrificial system which is gone forever. The Bible declares that there is NO atonement for the soul without the blood.

THE NEW COVENANT REPLACED THE OLD COVENANT

Right before the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross, he cried out “It Is Finished” (John 19:30) which means that everything had been fulfilled at that moment, and his death was the perfect and final sacrifice for sin. It was at that very moment that the veil in the Jewish Temple was torn in half, signifying that the Old Covenant sacrificial sytem was to be no more.

And the veil of the temple was rent in twain (two) from the top to the bottom. And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God. (Mark 15:38-39)

Where is the Jewish Temple today? It is not to be found and there can be no atonement for the sins of the people without the shedding of blood.  The Temple sacrifices were not accepted in the sight of God after the ultimate, final and perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ. That was the very purpose of the veil in the Temple being torn on half when Christ died. The high priest went into the temple and entered through the veil once a year, on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur-The Day of Covering).  The high priest took the blood from the animal sacrifices and sprinkled it on the mercy seat for the atonement of sin. But all of that stopped in the sight of God when Jesus, the great high Priest, entered into the true holy place in heaven.

For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. (Leviticus 17:11)

The Old Covenant has been completely done away with and if somebody tells you something else then they are preaching falsehood to you. All of the sacrifices pointed to Jesus Christ. The Passover pointed to Jesus Christ also and that is why John the Baptist referred to Jesus as the Lamb of God:

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. (John 1:29)

Paul the Jewish apostle of Jesus Christ wrote the following words almost two thousand years ago:

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his BLOOD we shall be saved from wrath through him. (Romans 5:8-9)

The blood that was shed by Jesus Christ is now the ONLY blood that can reconcile a sinner back to God. Friends, that is the absolute Bible truth.  That was the very purpose Jesus Christ came to this world. The gospel message is still for both the Jew and the Gentile, but there is no special revelation or reservation for the “ethnic” Jewish person when it comes to salvation. In fact if there were a special revelation or reservation for the Jewish person, then everything that Jesus Christ preached meant absolutely nothing. If a fair minded person will read through the gospel accounts they will see that Christ was dealing with the issues of the heart, and he was constantly rebuking the Jewish Pharisees for their outward form of religion.  The Jewish apostle Paul wrote the following also:

For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. (Romans 2:28-29)

It all has to do with the heart and nothing to do with a persons ethnic background. Jesus told Nicodemus, a Jewish ruler, that he needed to be born again or he would not see the Kingdom of God. Jesus did not say maybe, or could be, or should be, but MUST BE! The Kingdom of God is open to all people on planet earth, and their sins can be forgiven through the BLOOD of Jesus Christ.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. (John 3:6-7)

BEWARE OF THE LEAVEN OF THE PHARISEES

John Hagee mentioned the fact that Christians are the wild branches that have been grafted into the  good olive tree, and he was obviously referring to the verses from Romans Chapter 11.  I am in full agreement with the truth that the Jewish people represent the good olive tree, but please do not forget to mention that this is speaking about the Jewish people who followed the Lord and recognized the Messiah when he came. The Jewish people who did not recognize the Messiah were broken off  branches because they rejected the very one whom God the Father sent!

The Gentile people who have put their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ have been grafted into the “good olive tree” and they are there along with the Jewish people who also believe in Jesus and recognize him as the Messiah.  For the past two thousand years Jewish people have received the very SAME Grace that the Gentiles have recieved and they have received eternal life in Jesus Christ. There is NO difference between the Jew and the Gentile.

Beware of the phrase “replacement theology” because it is a term used by Christian Zionists.  It paints a picture that portrays people who do not agree with their false theology appear anti-semitic. Do not be intimidated by that term, because the Lord Jesus Christ is the searcher of hearts and he knows what is going on inside your heart.

BIBLICAL WARNINGS ABOUT AN ANTICHRIST SPIRIT

To declare that the Jewish people can still be in covenant with the Lord under the Old Covenant, living in light of the Torah,  is to agree with the Pharisees who rejected Jesus Christ two thousand years ago.  To declare that message is to oppose the very message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Not only that but the apostle John warned us about those who have an “antichrist spirit” and he described them as follows:

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. (1 John 2:22)

And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. (1 John 4:3)

For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. (2 John 1:7)

If you were to ask many of the Jewish people who were present at that convention meeting the other night, whether or not they believed that Jesus Christ was the promised Messiah, they would answer no without any problem at all.  The very reason that the Jewish apostles were persecuted and put to death by people like Paul (before he was saved) was because they preached Jesus Christ as the Messiah! So here we are almost two thousand years later, being told by a “Christian” minister that the Jewish people can be saved by living in light of the Torah. Once again I tell you that it makes the gospel message that Peter and Paul preached, and all the others preached, seem like a waste of time. After Paul was converted the Jewish people wanted to kill him, but the Lord preserved him. Many times Paul was beaten to a pulp, and even left for dead, but the Lord kept using him for his glory. In fact if Paul were a “bug on the wall” at that convention meeting he would have been aghast at what he heard.

IS WAR ON THE HORIZON?

Toward the end of this one hour television program, there was a man dressed in an Israeli miltary uniform who walked out from the audience, up to the front of the room, and then knelt down to pray. He was wearing a prayer shawl of some sort over his head. Then another man dressed in an American military uniform came from the audience and tapped the praying Israeli soldier on the shoulder, offered his hand to him , and they shook hands. Is there a message being sent here? What was this supposed to mean? Could this be a statement being made here? Is this some type of propaganda? Could there be another war on the horizon?

John Hagee is the Pastor of the Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas. He can be seen all over the airwaves throughout the world.  His preaching is often accompanied by very colorful video graphics which appear on a screen behind him.  He is known to preach against what he calls ”Isalmo Fascism” in no uncertain terms.  I thought that I was hearing things when I heard him talk in favor of a pre emptive attack on Iran. Wait a minute, did I hear correctly? Please tell me if I heard wrong.  Can we as Christians rightly call for an attack upon any nation, which would most certainly end up killing innocent civilians? What on earth is going on here?  What about the words of the master teacher and Saviour of the world Jesus:

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; (Matthew 5:44)

Do you remember when the band of men came looking for Jesus at the place in the garden where he usually prayed? Do you remember what Peter did to Malchus?

Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus. (John 18:10)

Sometime you can read a Bible verse and miss what really happened. Peter did not politely walk up to Malchus and start slicing his ear off.  It is quite obvious that Peter went to take the guys head off with a wild swing, and caught only his ear. But what did Jesus do after that?  Jesus actually healed the guys ear! (Luke 22:51) and then he made a prophetic statement:

Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.  Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be? (Matthew 26:52-54)

What about the words of Jesus Christ as he was dying on the cross?

And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. (Luke 23:33-34)

Sometimes we must take a few steps back and analyze what is going on, and ask ourselves the question, Is this the Spirit of Jesus Christ at work here? Is it the Spirit of Jesus Christ that is calling for an attack against a nation or is it a “another spirit?”  Is it the spirit of Jesus that would call for an attack upon innocent Muslim people or is it “another spirit”? Where is the fear of the Lord in all of this?

Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. (John 18:36)

Only time will tell what is going to happen in the following days.  We need to keep our eyes on the Lord like never before.  One thing I do know is that the Lord is merciful and that he abhors the killing of innocent people, and we have seen more than enough of that in recent years. That is what has stirred me to write this article. As Christians we like to take our stand on pro life issues such as abortion ( I am also pro life), but then we don’t even blink an eye when hundreds of thousands of Iraqi Muslim people are killed.

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. (2 Corinthians 10:4)

Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach. For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. (Hebrews 13:13-14)

THE JERUSALEM WHICH IS ABOVE

The scriptures tell us that HERE (on this earth) we have NO continuing city, and that includes the earthly city of Jerusalem. We, as Christians, are looking to the Jerusalem which is above (Galatians 4:26), not to the city in the Middle East.

But Jerusalem which is above is FREE, which is the mother of us all. (Galatians 4:26)

The Lord Jesus Christ had a conversation with a Samaritan woman, who was amazed that Jesus was even talking with her, because the Jewish people and the Samaritan people did not get along with each other. Jesus talked to her about true worship:

Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias (Messiah) cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee AM HE (John 4:21-26)

The Lord made it ever so clear to this woman that physical location did not matter anymore, because God must be worshiped in spirit and truth. Jesus said the hour was coming AND NOW IS when true worshipers would worship God in spirit and truth, which means that the hour had already arrived. The Lord Jesus Christ then went on to inform this woman that he was in fact the Messiah. Now either Jesus was telling the truth or he is a liar.  If Jesus declared to this woman that he was in fact the Messiah, and that the hour had arrived when people could worship him from anywhere in the world, then I would not dare to tamper with the word of God.  That same Samaritan woman went back to her town and brought others back to hear Jesus for themselves and, as a result, many were saved.

And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him (Jesus) for the saying of the woman, which testified, He (Jesus) told me all that ever I did. So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days. And many more believed because of his own word; And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world. (John 4:39-42)

The same living waters (spiritual) that Jesus offered to this Samaritan woman has been offered to both Jew and Gentile alike, for nearly two thousand years.  There is no postponement, no other covenant, no other way, but the way which God has provided through his Son Jesus Christ.

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. (2 Corinthians 11:3-4)

Here are some recent comments on this article.

Thank you… I wept as reading this post, but that statement spoke to me personally. I cannot tell you the tears I have shed in prayer over this entire Christian Zionist movement. At first it confused me…but the more I read about it and poured through the scriptures, the more ‘wrong’ it appeared to be.

To be honest, I just plain didn’t get it!

The Lord has had me working on a couple Christian boards/forums for some years now..and it seemed every time I tried to point out what I saw as error in this, either my comments were ignored or someone would come back replying about replacement theology.

I began to doubt myself…wondering if it was me who was wrong, even crying before the Lord asking him to search my heart in case I had even a tinge of antisemitism lurking within. I never ‘thought’ I did…but wanted to be sure.

Years ago I believe the Spirit of God showed me there were to be many ‘faces’ to the apostasy and last day delusion…many layers, like an onion.

That Satan would slip in teachings and error, which would not be as obvious, as the ones which stick out like a sore thumb today.

This is one of those layers…I’m convinced.

Forgive my rambling, but only God knows how much I needed to read your post.

thanks again…and God bless.

Editors Note: I emboldened certain sentences  from this comment,  because I believe that they are very important.  I do not consider what PJ Miller said to be rambling at all.  In fact there is no doubt in my mind that PJ Miller was speaking “in the Holy Ghost” when they penned this comment, and I am thankful that this person had the courage to speak up about this issue.  There is a suffocating silence within the walls of the organized church that many true Christian’s  are beginning to see.  The Lord is raising those same people up to be His bold witnesses in these last days.  Thanks to PJ Miller once again for your honesty and obedience to the Lord.  [Bill White, Soulrefuge blog]

The Day Paul’s Life Was Rocked By The Lord From Heaven!

The book of Acts contains some of the most compelling accounts of real life Christianity in the entire Word of God. In the twenty sixth chapter of that book there is an account of the Jewish apostle Paul testifying before a King, of how he met the true and living God. Here is a portion of Paul’s testimony before King Agrippa:

Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself: I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews: Especially because I know thee to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently. My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews; Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee. (Acts 26:1-5)

Paul was absolutely delighted that he was allowed to speak to the King, and he tell him that he grew up as an EXPERT in all the customs of the Jews, in fact he was a Pharisee.

And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers: Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope’s sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews. (Acts 26:6-7)

Here Paul told the King that he was  being judged for the very hope of the promise that God made unto the “fathers” and the twelve tribes (of Israel). It is quite obvious that Paul was referring to the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, when he was speaking about that hope. This was the very center of the argument that was going on there. Paul had his life transformed by the power of Almighty God, and he made no bones about testifying about Jesus Christ. He told the King that the Jews were accusing him for that very reason.

Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead? I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth. (Acts 26:8-9)

Paul was speaking about the resurrection of Jesus Christ here, and then he went on to tell the King that he also was in opposition to Christ at one point in his life. The testimony here of Paul becomes so very powerful because he had been converted by the power of the true and living God, and nothing would hold him back. Paul did not care what the King or any other political person thought about that either, because he had a mandate from the Lord Himself and the true fire of the Holy Spirit was burning within his heart. As a Christian myself, I find it difficult to listen to the Pastors and preachers of this modern day, as they fudge the precious Gospel, and  pander to the politicians, and other “religious leaders.”.

Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them. And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities. Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests, (Acts 26:10-12)

The apostle Paul did not let up in his testimony, as he went on to tell the King, that the (Jewish) Chief Priests gave him the authority to persecute the saints (true living Christians), and many of them were put in prison and were put to death! Paul told the King that he was involved in all of those things, and gave his  full consent to it. It is very clear through the testimony of Paul that he was an absolute tyrant against true Christians.

At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me. And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. (Acts 26:13-15)

What a day that must have been when this man Saul (Paul) had his life rocked by the Lord Jesus Christ. Paul observed a light that was brighter than the midday Sun (extremely bright), and then a voice which spoke in the Hebrew language, and asked him why he was persecuting him. What would you have thought if you were in Saul’s (Pauls) shoes? I don’t know about you, but I would have wondered why I was not cooked already. So what happened next?

But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. (Acts 26:16-18)

What? How can this possibly be? This absolute tyrant of a man, who dragged Christians off into jail, for no good reason, and gave his consent to the death of many of them? What? Are you kidding me?  Are you telling me that a Holy and Righteous God can use  this guy for His glory? What about this man’s past, and the wicked things he did against the Christians? Yup, that is exactly what happened to Saul (Paul) and it even ended up in the scriptures, the very Word of God. The true and living God called this man Saul (Paul) , and He put His Spirit in him, and he told him that he would be preaching (primarily) to the Gentiles, but he preached to the Jewish people also. So what was the message that the Lord gave this man Saul (Paul) to preach? If this message came directly out of Heaven, then all of us need to listen up for sure:

The Lord told Paul that he would be a MINISTER and a WITNESS to turn the people:

1] From Darkness To Light

The Lord knows all things, and he also knows that the majority of mankind is still living in a spiritual darkness

2] From The Power Of Satan Unto God

The Lord also knows that the majority of people that are in darkness, are therefore under the power of Satan himself. This would include people from every part of the entire world. This would include the rich and the poor, the famous and the unknown.

3] That They May Receive Forgiveness Of Sins

When a person comes out from the darkness, and the power of Satan (the DEVIL) they are  reconciled back to God, and forgiven of their sins.

4] That They Receive Their Inheritance Through Faith In Me (Jesus Christ)

The inheritance that the Lord is talking about, is the inheritance of eternal life which is found in the Lord Jesus Christ himself.

That message which Paul  received from the Lord Jesus Christ  remains the SAME today!

That message is  for every JEWISH person and every GENTILE person in the entire world!

There is not even ONE person in the world who is exempt from that message!

Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision: But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance. For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me. Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: (Acts 26:19-22)

Paul told the King that he obeyed that heavenly vision, and began to preach to people, that they needed to repent and turn to God. Paul preached first of all to the Jewish people, and they wanted to KILL him. Paul was now on the other side in this spiritual war. He went from consenting to the death of Christians, to becoming a hunted Christian himself! The one thing that you need to see here is that the apostle Paul told the King that he was speaking nothing different than what the prophets and Moses declared should come. Nothing has changed since the time of Paul, and the message which the true Christian speaks is not a drop different than what Paul himself preached! If you are preaching a different message than that of repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, then you are preaching a BOGUS GOSPEL that is not from the Lord at all.

The apostle Paul was so different than the modern day Pastors and preachers who seek to please man, (and get rich) so as to advance their own “legacy” and “ministry” even if it means pandering to politicians and other compromising preachers. Paul would have none of that. It is almost incredible when a person compares the preaching of Paul,  to what is being  mostly preached today. It is almost as if it is a different Gospel. That is because it is a different Gospel, and it is a FALSE Gospel which Paul warned us about.

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. (Galatians 1:8-10)

Seeing Through The Smokescreens And The Deception Of The Roman Catholic Mass

Why do I speak out against the doctrine of the Roman Catholic Mass? As a former Roman Catholic I speak out for the following reasons:

1] The Mass is unbiblical.

2] The Mass is a false doctrine propagated by a false church.

3] Many Evangelical Christian “leaders” have promoted unity with Roman Catholicism (thereby endorsing their false gospel, Galatians 1:8,9).

The Bible warns us about seducing spirits and doctrines of devils.

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; (1 Timothy 4:1)

The Roman Catholic Mass is a doctrine of devils.

The Bible tells us that we, as Christians, should contend for the faith.

” . . . ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” (Jude 1:3)

(A) What Is The Mass?

(According To Rome)

Here I will use Roman Catholic teaching from the New Saint Joseph Catechism, that bears the RC Imprimatur, which signifies that the doctrine within the Catechism has been approved by the Roman Catholic Church.

The New Saint Joseph Baltimore Catechism
The New Saint Joseph Baltimore Catechism

Now lets take a look at the Roman Catholic doctrine (teaching) on the Mass.

dsc01305

As you can see, the Mass is referred to as a SACRIFICE, in which CHRIST offers Himself to God, in an UNBLOODY MANNER.

Folks, that is absolute heresy.

The Bible makes it clear that it is the BLOOD that makes an atonement for the soul!

For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. (Leviticus 17:11)

(B) The Mass Is The Perfect

Sacrifice Continued

Right before Jesus died and gave His last breath He cried out ” . . . IT IS FINISHED . . .” [John 19:30]  The perfect sacrifice has been perfectly FINISHED, and it need not be offered up on a daily basis on the altars of Roman Catholic Churches throughout the world!

(C) Purposes Of The Mass

Purposes Of The Roman Catholic Mass
Purposes Of The Roman Catholic Mass

If you take a look at the fourth item on the list, you will see that one of the purposes of the Mass is to satisfy the justice of God, for the SINS committed against Him.

Folks, that is more heresy. The Bible tells me that the justice of God was satisfied when Jesus Christ died on the cross, almost two thousand yeras ago. The Bible lets each and every SINNER (myself included) and every other person in the world know that they can be JUSTIFIED by the BLOOD that Jesus shed for them!

The apostle Paul, a former  persecutor and murderer of Christians, wrote the following, and it ended up in the Bible for a reason:

For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. (Romans 5:6-10)

The greatest NEWS in the world is that CHRIST died for the UNGODLY, and the motive behind the DEATH of the Son of God was GOD’S PURE UNADULTERATED LOVE TOWARD MANKIND! Any person in the world, no matter what color, race, male, female, rich or poor has the opportunity to receive SALVATION through Jesus Christ, and be JUSTIFIED by His BLOOD, before God. Why? Because every single one of us fits very comfortably into the category of UNGODLY! My Bible tells me that I have been RECONCILED back to God already, through FAITH in Jesus Christ, and I have no need for a Roman Catholic Mass to be offered for me.

(D) Mass Cards

Mass cards can be obtained, for a donation, to have a Catholic Mass offered for a person living or DEAD!

dsc01317

In the illustration above, you can see that a donation of $5 will allow a person to have one Mass offered for them, and a donation of $45 will allow  nine separate Masses to be offered for the DECEASED (DEAD) person. The purpose of the Mass for the DEAD person is for the repose (rest) of their soul. The Catholic Church teaches about a place called Purgatory, a place where the soul will remain for an undetermined amount of time before they go to Heaven. The Mass card is for their benefit, and it can shorten their time in Purgatory! Folks, there is no such place called Purgatory. I wrote about that in another post here: PURGATORY: THE PLACE THAT DOES NOT EXIST.

In the illustration below, you can see that a person can have seven Masses offered up for them every single day, and they can also share in the “good works” of others.

dsc01316

The Bible tells us that salvation cannot be earned by “good works” lest any man boast.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

That is why I speak out against the doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church.

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek (Gentile): for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! (Romans 10:12-15)

FALSE UNITY ALERT: TBN SELLING ROMAN CATHOLIC BOOKS!

June 10, 2009

How Long Will TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network) Continue To Peddle Roman Catholic Materials On Their Website?

I have a book entitled ”The Glories Of Mary” by St Alphonsus Liguori which encourages people to call upon Mary and to pray to her in time of need. This same book (different publisher) is actually being sold at the TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network), along with many, many other books about Mary, the Rosary, Pope Benedict, Pope John Paul II, The Roman Catholic Mass etc. I was aware that TBN compromised with Rome, but I must say that I was amazed at the volume of Roman Catholic material that is being sold through their website. Check out this short video to see for yourself.
A

I am so glad that the Lord opened my eyes to the truth about salvation back in 1989, and delivered me from the gross deception of Roman Catholicism. I now have discernment in these things simply as a result of the Holy Spirit, opening the scriptures to me and pointing me to Jesus Christ.

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; (1 Timothy 2:5)

Not only that but I know that the BLOOD of Jesus Christ has delivered me from the wrath to come, and I have no fear about going to Purgatory: The Place That Does Not Exist.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. (Romans 5:8-9)

As a new creation in Jesus Christ, I do not need any Catholic masses to be said for me either, because the great high priest Jesus Christ, has paid the price in full for me at the cross. If theBLOOD of Jesus Christ is not sufficient to pay for our sins then nothing will ever be enough. I am saved by the mercy and grace of almighty God, and that is good enough for me.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

What we need now in this modern day is another reformation to rekindle these simple and basic Bible truths, and less of the absolute compromise, capitulation and demonic square dancing that we see in places such as TBN.

Here is an excerpt from a book  entitled ”The Glories Of Mary” which is available for sale on the TBN website.

“Bernard de Bustis relates that a bird was taught to say ‘Hail Mary’ A hawk was on the point of seizing it, when the bird cried out ‘Hail Mary!’ in an instant the hawk fell dead. God intended to show thereby, that if even an irrational creature was preserved by calling on Mary, how much more would those who are prompt in calling on her when assaulted by devils, be delivered from them.” [The Glories Of Mary, By St. Alphonsus Liguori, TAN Books and Publishers, Rockford, Illinois, 61105, page 67]

Folks this is what is known as SPIRITUAL INSANITY! The Devil will always steer a person away from the only hope and refuge for their soul, and that is the person of Jesus Christ. I encourage you to check out the other resources listed below for further understanding on this subject.

Testimony: How I Came To Know The Real Jesus Christ!

I was born in 1952, and I grew up on Long Island and Queens, New York. While living on Long Island I attended a public school. We were permitted to attend “religious instruction” classes once a week at the local Catholic School, and that’s where I was taught the Catholic Catechism.

I was taught that there were two types of sin, one was “mortal sin” (the more serious) and the other was “venial sin” (the less serious). I remember thinking to myself “how can anybody keep up with all of that stuff?” I was taught that it was a mortal sin to miss Mass on Sunday which I had already done, and I knew that I had committed more than my share of “venial sins”, so I started to become a little concerned about my soul. I was taught that there was a heaven, a hell, and another place called purgatory. Purgatory was described as a temporary place of punishment where the Catholic would stay until their love for God was perfect, and then they would proceed to heaven. Even at that young age their was enough conviction within my own heart to block out any thought of going to heaven, and even purgatory looked like a longshot to me. I went on to become an altar boy and being one of nine children I witnessed many “First Communion” and “Confirmation” ceremonies within my family. I must say that I always had a nagging question in the back of my mind, which was “where would I go after I die?”

During the 1970’s I had an insatiable desire to know the truth. I would travel to a shopping mall on Long Island, because there were two large bookstores in the mall. I would head straight to the philosophy and religious section where I would browse through the books, shelf by shelf, from bookcase to bookcase. After the first bookstore I would head to the other bookstore and repeat the same process over again. I wanted to know the truth and I eventually filled a large box with books on a variety of topics. I read books on Zen and I read books on meditation. I bought books on self improvement and how to improve the mind. You name it, I bought it and I read it.

One night in late 1980 I was drinking at a club and around midnight I decided to leave. I headed out to the south shore of Long Island to check out another club. I had been drinking for a couple of hours, and I was tired, but I can remember thinking that I wanted to get my “moneys worth” out of the weekend because it was back to work on Monday. I met my wife Cathy that night, and I remember when I left the club there was a ticket waiting on my windshield for parking on the street after 4AM. That was a typical weekend for me and many others of my age group during that time.

Cathy and I got married in July of 1981 and I still had the same desire and interest to seek out the truth. I read about a free seminar on mind control that spoke about improving ones mind power and memory. The seminar was being given a few miles from where we lived and I convinced Cathy to go with me. At the beginning of the seminar the teacher was talking about relaxation, emptying the mind, and visualization techniques. During this part of the class the teacher forgot what day it was and that just struck my funny bone. I could not stop laughing, to the point of tears, and this made Cathy laugh also. The teacher noticed us but simply smiled. The rest of the class had their eyes closed and they were in “visualization mode.” As I look back on that day I truly believe that it was the Lord who protected us from becoming involved in that sort of thing. I believe when a person starts “emptying their minds” that they can open themselves up to the occult, which in reality is the realm of the demonic.

During the mid 1980’s Cathy and I became aware of the Catholic Charismatic movement. The Mass was livelier and the songs were similar to those sung in Christian churches. We attended “healing masses” which focused on healing and praying the rosary. The rosary contains prayers which are mostly “Hail Mary’s”. At that time we became aware of what was known as the Marian apparitions at Medugorje. The “Virgin Mary” was allegedly appearing before some young men and women and bringing forth a monthly message. We were fascinated by stories of rosary beads changing colors, from silver to gold, when people went to Medugorje.

During this same period we began visiting a church in New York City where the gospel of Jesus Christ was being preached. We heard testimonies of how people’s lives were being changed by the power of Jesus Christ. This fascinated us also because we were so accustomed to the rituals and rote prayers we said every Sunday at the Catholic Mass. As time went on we would attend Mass in the morning and visit the other church in the evening, and the power of God’s Word was bringing us into the knowledge of the truth.

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:31-32)

Cathy told a Christian woman at that other church about the alleged appearances over in Yugoslavia. The woman quoted a verse of scripture to her:

And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 11:14)

This troubled Cathy and she went before the Lord and asked Him to show her the truth no matter what. She prayed before the Lord with an open Bible and an open heart, and began to see many scriptures which contradicted the messages that were coming from the “apparition of Mary” in Yugoslavia. This was very upsetting to her because we were really into this apparition thing. We had purchased videos and invited others to come to our home to view them with us. We also handed out pamphlets which promoted the apparition. We were evangelists for Mary at that time. Cathy was convinced that this whole thing was not of God and she tried to convince me, but I was not willing to listen. This went on for several weeks until one day she came down the stairs with tears in her eyes and asked me to listen to her. Something inside my heart told me to listen, and I did, and I told her that I would pray about it.

I knew that I had a choice to make. It was either the word of God (the bible) or the messages of “Mary” from Medugorje. I chose to believe the word of God. I can remember the day when the Lord lifted the spiritual veil of deception which had covered my eyes. I was reading the gospel of John and it seemed that the words were jumping off the page at me. I knew at that moment that the Lord Jesus Christ was the Son of God who came down from heaven. I knew that the Lord Jesus Christ was persecuted and slain on the cross for my sins. This was “head knowledge” before but now it was revelation truth from heaven straight into my heart. The Lord Jesus Christ had become ever so real to me and I knew that He died for me. A change had taken place inside my heart, and I was born again in the true biblical way. Jesus said this:

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. (John 3:6-7)

Cathy and I researched the messages from Medugorje and it was as if the Holy Spirit had taken a fluorescent hi-liter pen and began to expose the contradictions and falsehoods within those messages. We did the same with the other apparitions of Mary and we found them to contain similar errors.

As new Christians we now believed what Peter said and that we were now part of the “priesthood of believers” (1 Peter 2:9) which encompasses people from every nation on planet earth. We now knew that we did not need the Roman Catholic Mass, which is called the “Perfect Sacrifice Continued” (item 360 Baltimore Catechism p171), and which declares as its purpose “to satisfy the justice of God for the sins committed against Him” (Item 361 Baltimore Catechism p173). We now believed what Jesus Christ proclaimed right before His life expired “It Is Finished” (John 19:30). We now believed what Peter told us in one of his letters:

For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: (1 Peter 3:18)

We now believed what the apostle Paul told us in his letter to the Romans. We saw the value of the blood of Jesus Christ like never before.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. (Romans 5:8-9)

We now knew that the Mass, which declares that Christ through the ministry of the priest is offering Himself to God in “an unbloody manner” (item 357 Baltimore Catechism p168), was not in agreement with the Word of God which tells us this:

For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. (Leviticus 17:11)

We also knew from studying the scriptures that the real Mary was a sinner just like the rest of us:

And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. (Luke 1:46-47)

Only sinners need a Saviour, and the Bible tells us that every single one of us has come short of the glory of God.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.(Romans 3:23)

The last time that I find Mary mentioned in the scriptures is in the book of Acts:

And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James. These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren. (Acts 1:13-14)

Mary is listed here along with everyone else and she most certainly is not exalted above the others who are mentioned here. Mary was praying along with the rest of the other believers in Jesus Christ unto her God. None of the others are found praying to her as I did for many years and is still done today by multitudes.

One of the most striking things to me was the fact that the second commandment found in the Baltimore Catechism was not the same second commandment found in the bible. The real second commandment is found in Exodus 20 and reads as follows:

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. (Exodus 20:4-6)

In the Roman Catholic Baltimore Catechism the second commandment is listed as “Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.” (Baltimore Catechism item number 195, p 100)

How could there still be Ten commandments if the second commandment which dealt with graven images (statues) and which took up three verses in the scriptures is removed from the list?

The answer is found by taking a look at the ninth and tenth commandments in the Baltimore Catechism which are as follows:

9) Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors wife.

10) Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors goods.

(Baltimore Catechism item number 195, p100)

But the bible relegates only one single verse to this subject which is found below.

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s. (Exodus 20:17)

The Lord really opened up my eyes with this one because statues are found in Roman Catholic Churches all over the world. There are shrines to Mary all over the world. There are statues built to honor “saints” all over the world. I can remember visiting a Catholic shop in search of a statue of Mary because I wanted to have my own little shrine in the attic of my home. A person had a choice of a plain white statue or one which included the colors of blue and white. I was shocked at the prices for even the smaller statues, and I never bought one. It was not long after that visit to the Catholic shop, that I got saved and saw all of these things as nothing but idolatry according to God’s word.

As the Lord continued to open up my eyes about the deception of Roman Catholicism I would share this with others including pastors. I soon found out that this is an issue which most pastors refrain from speaking about. There was so much compromise I did not know where to begin. I have to remind myself that the bible warns us about such things in the following verse:

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; (1 Timothy 4:1)

If the Spirit of God, which is the Spirit of truth prophesied of such apostasy then it must certainly happen. Many pastors walk under the disguise of a “love” which is nothing but a counterfeit love which creates a false “unity” of believers in Jesus Christ. They lay aside the truth of God’s word and accept the doctrines of devils which Paul warned us about. On the surface they appear to be “anointed” but in reality they are crafty compromiser’s of  God’s word. Some are very aware of what is going on, but they remain silent because it is not popular to speak out against these things. True love warns people about false doctrine and calls it what it is in order to protect the sheep. True Godly and biblical love can be found in the ministry of the Jewish apostle Paul who never failed to warn the people whom he loved so dearly.

Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears. (Acts 20:26-31)

Did The Loving And Merciful Jesus Christ Believe In Hell?

Jesus Christ was without question, the most loving, merciful and kind person to ever walk this earth, and yet he did not hold back the truth about this place called hell.  Jesus Christ declared the following:

” …I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)

With that thought in mind, I want you to think about something for a moment. Did Jesus Christ tell the truth about Hell?  Do you think that maybe he was trying to deceive us about this place of torment, or was He trying to warn us about an eternal place that is very real?  Of course I believe the latter and there is not a doubt in my mind that Hell is as real as the ground that you and I walk on.

The words below are the words of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He is also known as the First and the Last and the Alpha and Omega. (Revelation 1:11)  Every single person who is reading this blog will stand before him one day and give an account for their life.  If you declare yourself to be a believer in Jesus Christ then you must also believe his words.

There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. (Luke 16:19-31)

Lessons Learned From Jesus Christ

Hell is real

People are conscious in Hell

People can hear in Hell

People can talk in Hell

People can remember in Hell (they remember their lives on earth)

People cannot escape from Hell

People are tormented in Hell

People in Hell do not want their relatives to end up there

People need to believe the scriptures

People need to repent and get right with God

DO NOT BE FOOLED: HELL IS REAL FOLKS!

The word that is used for HELL in this passage of scripture is the Greek word HADES which can be defined as the place of departed souls.  Remember that Jesus Christ is the one that is telling the story here. It is very interesting that Jesus Christ, who was the most compassionate human being to ever walk this earth went into such extreme detail here in describing the torment that the “rich man” in HELL was experiencing.

Jesus actually told us that the “rich man” was begging for a drop of water on his tongue.  Can I accuse Jesus of being  too harsh for using such language?  Can I accuse Jesus of being too hard for telling us about the impossibility of the “rich man” escaping the torment that he was in?

People often accuse Christians of using scare tactics, or of preaching “fire and brimstone” messages to scare people, but I use Jesus Christ Himself as my example. In other words, I will speak the words that are recorded  in my Bible.  If Jesus Christ preached about HELL then I will also preach about HELL.

After Jesus rose from the dead He encouraged His disciples to preach the gospel to the whole world. Jesus told them that the believers would be saved and the unbelievers would be damned.  (Matthew 16:15-16)  What does it mean to be DAMNED according to Jesus Christ?  Listen to Him for yourself!

Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? (Matthew 23:33)

Do not use vague terms such as telling people that  they are going to a “Christless Eternity” because that would be like heaven to them. They do not want Christ now, and they just might figure that they are alright without Him in eternity also.   Tell them the truth about HELL the same way that Jesus told them.  Take my word for it on this one.

God will honor you for doing that simply because God  always honors His Word,  even ABOVE His own name, and don’t you ever forget that.

I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. (Psalms 138:2)

It is the obligation of EVERY true bible believing Christian to preach the gospel and to warn the sinners about the damnation of HELL. How can we stand by and not warn the souls who are perishing all around us?  In fact I pity the minister who stands in the pulpit Sunday after Sunday and never warns the people about HELL.  That is not the LOVE of God at all.  God is LOVE and  Jesus Christ is God, and Jesus Christ preached often about Hell, and we need to do the same.

At another time Jesus declared that when the Son of Man (Himself) comes in His Glory, He will separate the sheep from the goats. The sheep are placed on the right hand and the goats are placed on the left hand. (Matthew 25:31-33)  The “sheep” (God’s people) inherit the Kingdom prepared for them.  But Jesus declared that there would be a different fate for the “goats” who did not follow the Lord.

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: (Matthew 25:41)

JUDGMENT DAY

Ultimately the place called HADES will be cast into the “lake of fire” and that will be the place of   ”everlasting fire”  and  ”everlasting punishment.”   You can choose to reject the teachings of the Word of God if you so desire, but the words will always remain true. but the words of Jesus Christ will never pass away according to Jesus Himself. (Matthew 24:35)  You can call HELL a myth if you so desire, but I tell you in love, that you are in for the shock of your death.

You will NOT be annihilated and exist no more.  There is no second chance either.  Jesus NEVER spoke about a place called Purgatory and it is not to be found in the Bible.  Jesus NEVER spoke about being reincarnated and it is not to be found in the Bible.

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before GOD; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is THE BOOK OF LIFE: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and HELL (HADES) delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and HELL (HADES) were cast into the LAKE OF FIRE. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:11-15)

I do not believe for a moment that the people who are presently in HELL (HADES) are having a BIBLE STUDY wondering whether they are in SHEOL, HADES, or the LAKE OF FIRE.  Not for a moment. They are in absolute torment according to Jesus Christ.

The very SAME Jesus Christ who spoke so clearly about HELL is the very SAME Jesus who laid down His life upon the cross for us.  Jesus Christ died as a substitute in our place.

THE “GOOD PERSON” TRAP

Many  people fall into the fatal trap of thinking that they are a “good person” and when they die they hope that their own “goodness” or their own “good deeds” will outweigh their “badness” or their own “bad deeds.”   They are hoping  that the eternal “scales of justice” will weigh in their favor, when the truth of the scriptures has already proclaimed them GUILTY!

Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. (Romans 3:19-20)

The Law of God absolutely silences every single man and woman on earth from justifying themselves before a holy and righteous God. If you want to look for an  ”axis of evil”  you need not look any further than your own heart.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? (Jeremiah 17:9)

Do you understand that you are spiritually DEAD in the sight of Almighty God?  Do you understand that God is offering you SALVATION and ETERNAL LIFE in His Son Jesus Christ?

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. (Romans 5:8-9)

You do not have to end up in Hell like so many billions that have lived before you. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has been mocked for centuries and those that mock the gospel in modern times are no different than those that went before them.

Jesus Christ said “…repent and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15)

My friend, please remember that these words about Hell were spoken by Jesus Christ Himself, the very creator of all things. Do not gamble with your soul as the rich man did in this true story.

Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? (Matthew 23:33)

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek (Gentile): for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:12-13)

Is The Bible God’s Word Or Man’s Word?

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Bible Study Synopsis

The New Testament Men Of God Honored God’ Word- The apostle Paul declared that all scripture is inspired by God and is everything we need in the way of righteousness. Peter one of the original disciples of Jesus Christ, and an eyewitness to many incredible miracles of the Lord Jesus Christ, exalted the Word of God above them all. (2 Peter 1:16-21) We can depend upon the Word of God to be a light for our path. (Psalm 119:105) We must not mix the Word of God with man made tradition, psychology, our own opinions or anything else. Any type of mixture will produce a perverted and corrupt Gospel.

The Old Testament Men Of God Honored God’s Word — Jeremiah said that it brought a rejoicing to his heart (Jeremiah 15:16) and he compared it to fire and a hammer (Jeremiah 23:29) Isaiah declared that the Word of God was the determining factor of whether a person had “light” in them. (Isaiah 8:20)and that the word of God would never return void. (Isaiah 55:11) Job said that God’s Word (spiritual food) was more important than his necessary (physical) food. (Job 23:12)

The Old Testament Prophecies Prove God’s Word True- Micah prophesied the birthplace of Jesus the Messiah in Bethlehem. (Micah 5:2/Matthew 2:6) Zechariah prophesied that the King of Israel, just and having salvation, would ride into Jerusalem on a donkey. (Zechariah 9:9/Matthew 21:1-5) Isaiah prophesied of the death of the Messiah approximately 700 years before the event actually took place. (Isaiah 53:1-12) No other “Holy Book” can make the claim that the Bible makes because no other book has Biblical prophecies with a 100 percent accuracy rate.

Jesus Christ Honored The Word Of God – Jesus Christ quoted from God’s Word three different times in fighting off the devil when he came against Him. (Matthew 4:1-11, Deuteronomy 8:3, 6:16, 6:13) and Christ also declared that the very words He spoke would be what judged us in the last day. (John 12:48)

The New Testament Men Of God Honored God’s Word

The apostle Paul penned those words nearly two thousand years ago and they are just as true today as they were back then. We need not look any further than the scriptures themselves, to find everything we need, concerning the salvation of our soul and how to continue on in our walk with the Lord. It is all found in the Word of God.

The apostle Peter was one of the original disciples of Jesus Christ and as a close companion of Christ he was a witness to the many things that Jesus did.

Peter Was There When:

Jesus performed many incredible miracles

Jesus cast demons out of the possessed

Jesus raised the dead to life again

Jesus healed the sick of their diseases

Jesus caused a raging storm to cease with three words “Peace Be still”

Jesus was transfigured on a mountain top and spoke with Elijah and Moses about His coming death at Jerusalem

And yet after all of those amazing experiences Peter wrote the following words:

For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. (2 Peter 1:16-21)

The apostle Peter shows us in this excerpt from one of his letters that he knew the value of the scriptures and he placed them above any of the experiences mentioned above. Peter made a point of writing down the fact that he was there as an eyewitness of the majesty of Christ upon that holy mount (mountain) when the glory of God shone upon Jesus Christ. Peter was referring to the time when he along with John and James saw Jesus Christ transfigured before their very eyes and they saw the glory of God all over Him. They also saw Moses and Elijah talking with Jesus about the death which He was about to accomplish at Jerusalem. (Luke 9:28-31)  I encourage you to read the gospel accounts in Matthew 17:1-13, Mark 9:1-13, and Luke 9:28-36 because there is much to learn there.

Peter contrasts that awesome mountaintop experience, described above with the “more sure word of prophecy” which are the scriptures themselves. Peter learned through experience that even after being an eyewitness to such great things that his faith could still be attacked. Do not forget that Peter denied the Lord three times when trouble came his way, and the rest of the disciples also vanished at that same point in time. Peter would eventually learn to trust in the Lord and the infallibility of His Word and stare death in the face. (John 21:18-19).

We cannot separate TRUE faith from believing the Word of God. They are absolutely inseparable. If you say that you believe in God then you must believe the words that He spoke! And within the Word of God you will find the right path that God wants you to take.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. (Psalms 119:105)

A fatal trap that many people fall into is when they start to MIX the Word of God with something else and therefore pollute the scriptures and come up with a mixture that will lead them astray.  Beware of those who add their own books and place them alongside the Bible and tell you that they are on an equal par with God’s Word.  The Lord does raise up people to teach and help others understand His Word but we are not to ADD or TAKE AWAY from His Word.

It is NOT the Word of God plus the traditions of man

It is NOT the Word of God plus man made psychology

It is NOT the Word of God plus man made opinions

It is NOT the Word of God plus something else

It is JUST the Word of God!

The Old Testament Men Of God Honored God’s Word

Jeremiah the prophet said this regarding the Word of God

Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts. (Jeremiah 15:16) Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? (Jeremiah 23:29)

Isaiah the prophet said this regarding the Word of God

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. (Isaiah 55:11) To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. (Isaiah 8:20)

Job the man of God said this regarding the word of God

Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. (Job 23:12)

The Bible has something that every other “Holy Book” does not have and that is prophecy.  There are scores of prophecies that are found in the Bible and many of them deal specifically with Jesus Christ.  This is not one of those tabloids that you buy in January that makes some predictions, most of which never happen but these are prophecies that were spoken hundreds of years beforethe evnts actually took place. Can you name ONE other “Holy Book” that can make that claim? Do not think too hard because there are NONE! Here are just a few references that you can check out for yourself.

The Old Testament Prophecies Prove God’s Word True

Micah, the prophet declared that the Messiah, the one who was “from everlasting”, meaning eternal, was to be born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2) and that is the very place where Jesus Christ was born. (Matthew 2:6)

Zechariah the prophet prophesied that the King, who is just, and having salvation would ride into Jerusalem on a donkey (ass). (Zechariah 9:9) and Jesus Christ, the King of the Jews rode into Jerusalem on a donkey (ass) just as Zechariah declared He would! (Matthew 21:1-5)

Isaiah prophesied of the death of Christ almost 700 years before the event actually took place. (Isaiah 53:1-12) and Christ, the Messiah, died just as he prophesied. (John 19:30)

There are absolutely scores of other prophecies in the Bible and I encourage you to take the time to study them for yourself.

Jesus Christ Honored God’s Word

Jesus Christ Himself used the Word of God to refute the temptations and the lies of the devil when he came to tempt him in the wilderness. Three different times the Lord quoted from the book of Deuteronomy , and He preceded each of those quotations with the words “IT IS WRITTEN!” (Deuteronomy 8:3, 6:16, 6:13) refuting the DEVIL at every single point with the scriptures. (Matthew 4:1-11)  If the Lord Jesus Christ found the Word of God to be that important, how much more do we need to know and use the Word of God ourselves? Not only that but Jesus told us that the very words that He spoke would be what would judge us in the end:

Have Ye Not Read?

At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat. But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day. But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him; How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests? Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless? (Matthew 12:1-5)

The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, (Matthew 19:3-4)

But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.(Matthew 22:31-32)

And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner: (Mark 12:10)

The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. (Psalms 118:22)

He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. (John 12:48)

Preach God’s Word

It is the Word of God that makes all the difference and it is the Word that needs to be preached to the lost souls all over the world. The pulpit is the place where the Word of God is to be preached and expounded on because it is the truth that sets people free. It is not a crime to have a healthy and sanctified sense of humor but when that becomes the rule and jokes become too common it can cheapen the gospel and send off the wrong message to the listeners especially when souls are at stake.

I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. (2 Timothy 4:1-5 )

Is Purgatory A Make Believe Place?

Today I would like to talk about the Roman Catholic teaching of Purgatory. First of all I would like to quote from two of their catechisms, regarding this topic:In The New Saint Joseph Baltimore Catechism there is a little section entitled PURGATORY IS GOD’S HOSPITAL and it declares that ‘Purgatory is God’s Hospital for souls, where those who do not love God enough to enter heaven are cured by fire…Then they must go to purgatory, where they will have to suffer much more intensely than they would have if they had accepted the sufferings on earth…In purgatory, God’s cleansing fires burn away the souls selfishness till its love becomes perfect and it is ready to fly to heaven. Its suffering only purify love, they don’t increase it. [The New Saint Joseph Baltimore Catechism, Catholic Book Publishing Co., NY 1969, Imprimatur: Francis Cardinal Spellman]The Catechism Of The Catholic Church of 1994 confirms the above in a section entitled THE FINAL PURIFICATION, OR PURGATORY

1030: all who die in God’s grace, and friendship, but still imperfectly purified, are indeed assured of their eternal salvation; but after death they undergo purification, so as to achieve the holiness necessary to enter the joy of heaven

1031: The church gives the name Purgatory to this final purification of the elect, which is entirely different from the punishment of the damned. The church formulated her doctrine of faith on Purgatory especially at the Councils of Florence and Trent. The tradition of the Church, by reference to certain texts of scriptures, speaks of a cleansing fire…. [The Catechism Of The Catholic Church, Doubleday Publishers NYC, Paperback Edition, 1995, page 191, Imprimi Potest: Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger] I wanted to quote from those two catechisms to present the Roman Catholic teaching regarding this place called Purgatory, so that you could read it for yourself. I am a former Roman Catholic who came to know Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour in 1989, and you can  read my testimony or listen to my: testimony on Audio .There has never been a place called Purgatory and there never will be a place called Purgatory. It does not exist. If you search the scriptures you will not find this place in there at all. My purpose in writing this article is to dispel this false teaching which provides a false hope to the millions upon millions of precious souls within the Roman Catholic system.Jesus Christ spoke about salvation and damnation, light and darkness, life and death, and heaven and hell but He never offered even a hint about a place called purgatory. Listen to Jesus here:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:16-18)

Here Jesus speaks about the love of God toward the people of the world, and He declares that God sent His Son into the world to save the world. Jesus also made it very clear that the person who did not believe in the Son (Himself) was condemned already. There was not even a hint about a purifying fire for either the believer or unbeliever from the mouth of Jesus Christ. Jesus made it clear that faith in Him was the determining factor of whether a person was saved or condemned. Here is another passage from the Bible where Jesus speaks about salvation and damnation after He rose from the dead:

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (Mark 16:15-16)

Once again the focus is on the faith of the individual. The believer will be saved and the unbeliever will be damned.Listen to the words of a criminal who repented during the final moments of his life, as he spoke with Jesus from a cross:

And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. (Luke 23:39-43)

Jesus promised this criminal that he would be with Him in Paradise on that very day! I am sure that this criminal had a love that was less than perfect toward God, but Jesus promised that man Paradise. Jesus never mentioned a place called Purgatory or a suffering that needed to take place after he died because that place does not exist. Salvation has always been based upon the faith of the individual in the living God. That criminal could do absolutely nothing to save himself at that point in his life. He could not do any good works. He could not wiggle down off that cross to be baptized either. The only thing that he could do was the thing that he did and that was to put his faith in Jesus Christ before he died. The criminal made a genuine turn in his heart toward the Lord and he genuinely repented of his own sin. The criminal acknowledged that he deserved to be there ‘for we receive the due reward of our deeds…’ and the proof that it was genuine was the fact that the Lord promised that man that he would go to paradise with Him on that very day.

The Catholic Mass And Purgatory

Many people do not realize that the Roman Catholic Mass is considered a ‘propitiatory sacrifice’ that is offered to God for both the living and the dead, which would include those souls in Purgatory. In fact the Roman Catholic Council of Trent has pronounced many anathemas (curses) against those people who would not agree with their teachings on those subjects. Those anathemas are still in effect today and do not let anybody tell you otherwise. Here are two of those anathemas:

People can have a Roman Catholic Mass said by a priest for a deceased friend or relative. A Catholic can go their local church and make a request for a Mass to be said on behalf of their loved one who may be in Purgatory. In the 1960’s I used to go to the local rectory to make a donation for a Mass card when somebody we knew had died. There were two types of Mass cards. One was a simple looking card with a suggested donation of one dollar and the other one was a much thicker one with a nice case for a suggested donation of five dollars. I cannot imagine what the Mass card donation might be today.

Canons on The Sacrifice Of The Mass

Canon 1: If anyone says that in the mass a true and real sacrifice is not offered to God, or that to be offered is nothing else than that Christ is given to us to eat, let him be anathema.

Canon 3: If anyone says that the sacrifice of the mass is one only of praise and thanksgiving; or that it is a mere commemoration of the sacrifice consummated on the cross but not a propitiatory one; or that it profits him only who receives, and ought not to be offered for the living and the dead, for sins, punishments, satisfactions, and other necessities, let him be anathema.

The one thing that I want you to see here is that the teaching of Purgatory cheapens the Gospel of Jesus Christ. How many masses must be said by family members before a soul is set free from Purgatory? How many hundreds of years must a soul remain in Purgatory? These are answers that you will never know and people will still continue to have masses said for there loved ones because of that.

Trust me! If the blood of the sinless, perfect Son of God, Jesus Christ cannot perfectly atone for your sins, then there is nothing in this universe that can do it.

I do not believe that the mass is a propitiatory sacrifice and I do not believe that there is any benefit at all in the Roman Catholic mass, so according to their teaching I am anathematized. I do believe what the scriptures tell me such as the following:

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. (Romans 5:8-9)

Many people who do not come from a Roman Catholic background have no idea about these things. They have never been inside the funeral parlor to listen to the prayers for the people who have already died, who are offered hope for escape from this land of make believe. There are millions of Roman Catholic people who think that they have a second chance after death, after they go to Purgatory when somebody else will have a Mass said for them to shorten their time there. I know because I was one of them.

Mary Worship And Purgatory

There are also millions of Catholics who believe that their stay in Purgatory will be shortened because they had a devotion to Mary the Blessed Mother and because they wore the brown scapular around their neck. The brown scapular is made up of two pieces of cloth, usually wrapped in a plastic to protect it, and held together with string. It forms a circle which is then draped over the wearers head.

Pope John XXII declared that he had a vision of the Virgin Mary in which she said the following concening those who wore the brown scapular:

” I the Mother of grace, shall descend on the Saturday after their death and whomsoever I shall find in Purgatory, I shall free, so that I may lead them to the holy mountain of life everlasting”

There were many people who were martyred during the middle ages because they refused to believe teachings such as Purgatory.

Martin Luther was absolutely outraged when a man named John Tetzel went preaching in the towns and villages throughout Germany raising money for the building of St Peter’s Basilica in Rome. John Tetzel was peddling indulgences with the approval of Pope Leo X and providing them with a false hope beyond the grave. There was a money chest which was carried during these fund raisers and Tetzel urged the people to contribute by saying:

“As soon as the coin in the coffer rings , the soul from Purgatory springs”

This is spiritual fraud at its worst. I wonder how many sincere people were swayed by that man Tetzel to give up their money, hoping that one of their loved ones would escape the torment of this place that has never existed. It is absolutely mind boggling that the teaching of Purgatory is still around in modern times.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek (Gentile). (Romans 1:16)

The Spirit Of Antichrist Within The Modern Day “Church”

The word ANTICHRIST is mentioned four different times by the apostle John in the Bible, and I am going to take a look at all four of those references. We can get a very good understanding of what the ANTICHRIST spirit is all about by studying these scripture verses. Keep in mind that these verses are in the Bible for a reason. John gave them to us for our instruction, and it is up to each individual to do what they want with them.

Here are four references from the Bible that mention the word ANTICHRIST.

Reference Number One

And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. (1 John 4:3)

Plain and simple, this verse is telling us that those who refuse to believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came down from above, was manifested in the flesh, and was in fact the promised Mesiah is of an ANTICHRIST spirit.

Reference Number Two

For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. (2 John 1:7)

In this verse John describes those who do not believe that Jesus Christ came in the flesh, as DECEIVERS, along with the same desciption from before of ANTICHRIST.

Reference Number Three

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. (1 John 2:22)

This verse is very clear in telling us that those who deny that Jesus is the Christ is ANTICHRIST, denying both the Father and the Son. Many people do not realize that the word CHRIST actually means MESSIAH.

So John is telling us that those who do not believe that Jesus is the MESSIAH are not only of an ANTICHRIST spirit, but John calls them liars.

This would apply to any person [Jewish or Gentile], who lives anywhere in the world.

If a person refuses to believe that Jesus Christ came in the flesh to this earth, and that He is in fact the CHRIST [MESSIAH], they would be indentified as having an ANTICHRIST spirit.

The word ANTICHRIST in the Greek is ANTICHRISTOS, which means “opponent of MESSIAH.”

So John has already told us that those of an ANTICHRIST spirit are deceivers and liars.

Reference Number Four

Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. (1 John 2:18 )

Here John is telling us that there were many in his day who had an ANTICHRIST spirit. That was almost two thousand years ago and the same could be said for today, because the majority of people in the world do not believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and the promised Messiah.

Now I want you to take a look at some more scripture references from this same apostle John that flow right along with what we are talking about.

Here John tells us that those who do not believe the record [testimony] that God has given us of His Son, have made Him [God] a LIAR. Folks this is some very serious language that the apostle John is using here.

Should that message be watered down for anybody?

Should that message be sugarcoated to please people?

What do you think?

I believe that the Bible is the Word of God, and I believe that those words stand as true today as they did when John spoke them.

Now lets talk about the people in the modern State of Israel. I know that I am not misrepresenting them by saying that the majority of people who are living in Israel, as well as around the world, do not believe that Jesus is the Christ [MESSIAH]

I realize that the majority of Gentiles do not believe that Jesus is the MESSIAH either, but I am dealing with the modern State of Israel because the modern day “church,” with its Christian Zionism, is working hand in hand with them. This is absolutely an UNEQUAL YOKING according to the Word of God.

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? (2 Corinthians 6:14-15)

I believe that this modern day Christian Zionist movement is one of the most deceptive, delusional masterpieces that Satan has ever invented.

The apostle John poured out his heart in warning his fellow believers about those who were of an ANTICHRIST spirit, and here in this modern day the “Christians” are joining hands with them, instead of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to them.

The Gospel message still stands true today for both Jewish and Gentile. This Gospel message has been flowing for nearly 2000 years and it started at Jerusalem, and it has been going to the uttermost parts of the earth ever since. A person is either for Christ or they are against Christ [ANTICHRIST], but there is no neutral ground when it comes to the Gospel.

A person who has been truly born again of the Spirit is now part of the Kingdom of God. We are new creations in Jesus Christ. Our wretched souls have been redeemed from an eternal Hell by the blood of Jesus Christ.

It is now our desire that all men should come to repentance and a living faith in Jesus Christ.

And yet there are those such as John Hagee of Cornerstone Church in Texas who have called for a preemptive attack on Iran, as if God desires to destroy those people.

Where is the mercy of God in all of that? Are the souls of those people who live in Iran any less precious than those who live in Israel, or any other place in the world?

Where is the Spirit of Jesus Christ in that? It is not there folks!

My sweet Jesus said this to His followers [in RED]:

And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them. And they went to another village. (Luke 9:54-56)

Yes, there will always be wars and there will always be political corruption, but the Christian has a different Master, and His name is Jesus, and our weapons are not fleshly but spiritual.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. (2 Corinthians 10:3-4)

Join hands with an ANTICHRIST spirit if you like, but I think I will pass on that one.  I’ll pass simply because I know that one day I too will stand before the One who was butchered on a bloody cross, and I still take Him at His word.

(John 3:16-18 )

Is Jesus Christ God? (And What Happens If You Do Not Believe That?)

“… What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”

(Mark 4:41)

My purpose in this Bible study is to show you, that it can be proven through the scriptures, that without doubt Jesus Christ is God.

Bible Study Synopsis

The Testimony Of John The Baptist - John was the “voice in the wilderness” (John 1:22-24, Isaiah 40:3) who prepared the way of the Lord Jesus Christ. John knew that Jesus was preferred before him because He was before him. (John 1:15,27) even though Jesus was physically born after him. John referred to Jesus as the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world (John 1:29).

The Testimony Of Jesus Christ - Jesus referred to Himself as the “I AM” which was the name that God Himself used when He spoke to Moses out of the burning bush (John 8:56-59, Exodus 3:13-14). The Jews sought to stone Jesus because they thought that He was guilty of blasphemy (John 8:59, Leviticus 24:16). Jesus claimed to be the First and the Last (Revelation 1:11,17-18,2:8) which is a name that God claims for Himself (Isaiah 44:6). Jesus also claimed to be the Alpha and Omega (Revelation 1:8,11) and the Almighty (Revelation 1:8).

Many inferences can then be made about Jesus Christ as we examine scripture with scripture. Since we know that the Word of God which was made flesh (John 1:14) spoke of Jesus Christ then we also know that Jesus Christ is the Word who created all things (John 1:3). Consider the fact that in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1) and that the Word who is Jesus Christ was also there in the beginning (John 1:2). We will then naturally conclude that Jesus Christ is God. We learn through Isaiah the prophet that God made all things alone and by Himself (Isaiah 44:24) which is in perfect agreement with John 1:1-3 and Colossians 1:12-16. If God did everything alone and by Himself it lays to rest those within the cults who insist that God created Jesus Christ and then used Jesus Christ to create everything else.

The Works Of Jesus Christ - The works that Jesus Christ did during His time on earth are more than ample proof that Jesus Christ is God. Jesus cast demons out of the possessed, He healed the sick, He had power over nature, He raised the dead , He forgave sins, causing His enemies to say “… who can forgive sins, but God only?” (Mark 2:7). Jesus also raised Himself from the dead.

The Testimony Of John The Baptist

John the Baptist was the son of Zacharias, a Jewish priest, and his wife Elizabeth. John was born to this couple after they had been without children for many years. John was born exactly as promised to Zacharias by the angel Gabriel. (Luke 1:5-25) The scriptures also tell us that John would be filled with the Holy Ghost and that he would turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God. And that he would go forth in the “spirit and power of Elias (Elijah) … to make ready a people prepared for the Lord” (Luke 1:17). It is not surprising that John the Baptist attracted the attention of multitudes. Many people wanted to know who he was. The Pharisees, a Jewish group, sent people to question him:

Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself? He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias (Isaiah). And they which were sent were of the Pharisees (John 1:22-24).

Please keep in mind that John was questioned by the people because they wanted to know if he was in fact the promised Christ (Messiah) or if he was some other prophet (John 1:19-21). John responded to their inquiry by quoting from the Old Testament book of Isaiah. Here John makes a very revealing statement not only about his own identity, but the true identity of Jesus Christ also.

The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God (Isaiah 40:3).

John let them know that he was that “voice in the wilderness” that the prophet Isaiah had spoken about. Now it is obvious that the voice was representative of a person with a message and the message was this:

to prepare the way of the Lord

to make straight … a highway for our God

So given the fact that John identified himself as THAT “voice in the wilderness” we can say without question that John was preparing the way for the Lord God.

The Hebrew word for Lord that is used in this verse is YHWH

The Hebrew word for God that is used here is ELOHIYM

We also know from the contents of the New Testament that John the Baptist was the very one who prepared the way for Jesus Christ. So we can rightly say, without shame and without fear, that the titles of Lord and God most definitely apply to Jesus Christ.

Here is another testimony from John regarding the deity of Jesus Christ:

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me. And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water (John 1:29-31).

In this passage of scripture John identifies Jesus Christ as the Lamb of God, and the one who came to take away the sin of the world. John also declares that Jesus was preferred before him because he was before him. It is most interesting when you look at the gospel account in Luke and find that Jesus was born at least six months AFTER John was born. (Luke 1:34-37). So we can conclude that John knew full well, by the Spirit of God, that Jesus Christ existed long before He was incarnated as a human being on this earth.

The topic in this study is of utmost importance. The claim that Jesus Christ is God is more than a mere theological debate between those who endorse the position of His deity (divinity) and those who do not. Why? Because if it can be proven through the scriptures (and it can) that Jesus Christ is in fact God, then we must take a closer look not only at the words that Jesus spoke while He walked this earth but also at the words that the Lord spoke to the children of Israel in the Old Testament. We can learn a great deal when we truly understand that this Christ whom we know as Lord was the very same eternal Lord who created all things, and who came to this earth and partook of our own human nature.

The Testimony Of Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ: He is the “I AM”

It has been said very often by those who do not believe that Jesus Christ is in fact God, that He never made that claim for Himself. That is not true. In the New Testament book of John we can read the following scriptures.

Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I AM. Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by (John 8:56-59).

I highlighted the words of Jesus Christ in red letters to make it easier to see when He is speaking. In this passage of scripture Jesus was in a confrontation with the Jewish religious people, and He told them that He Himself was the “I AM.”

I would like you to note that His enemies took up stones to throw at Jesus, which means that they wanted to kill him. The reason that they did that was because they thought that he had committed blasphemy in declaring Himself to be the “I AM” and that he was “living” before Abraham ever existed. The Old Testament book of Leviticus shows us the reason for their actions:

And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the LORD, shall be put to death (Leviticus 24:16).

This shows us that his enemies knew full well what Jesus was declaring when he claimed the name “I AM” for Himself. This also shows us that Jesus most certainly made His deity clear on different occasions. What was Jesus trying to tell those who were in opposition to Him? Jesus was telling them that He was alive long before Abraham ever existed.

There are millions of people who only see Jesus Christ as a person who was born about two thousand years ago, lived a short life, did some good things and then died. The purpose of this Bible study is to show you the reader that Jesus Christ is more than a man. He is part of the eternal triune Godhead. When Jesus used the words I AM, He was using the very same words that were used by God when He spoke to Moses out of the burning bush. Moses was intrigued by that burning bush when it was not consumed, and when he approached the bush this is what happened:

And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God (Exodus 3:5-6).

The voice that spoke out of that burning bush identified Himself as the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Moses was afraid to even look upon God. The point that I want to make here is that it was God who spoke out of that burning bush. Further down in that very same chapter we find the following:

And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you (Exodus 3:13-14 ).

Here we see that God told Moses that His name was “I AM THAT I AM” and that was what Moses was to tell the children of Israel. Am I trying to say that Jesus Christ was the very same person that spoke to Moses out of that burning bush? Yes, that is exactly what I am trying to say and there is further proof in the scriptures to make that point.

Jesus Christ: He Is The First And The Last

Now I would like to go to the new Testament book of Revelation to further prove the deity of Jesus Christ.

And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death (Revelation 1:17-18).

In this scripture verse John listens as the risen Christ declares Himself to be the FIRST and the LAST. Not only that, but He tells John that He was DEAD but now He is ALIVE forevermore! I do not think that the Lord could have made His deity any clearer than that. We all know that it was Jesus Christ who was slain for our sins and who rose from the dead. The title of the FIRST and the LAST is a title that is unique to God and Him alone, and here the glorified Christ claims it for Himself. Let’s take a look in the Old Testament to see how it is used.

Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God (Isaiah 44:6).

In the book of Isaiah we learn that the Lord is the King of Israel and also calls Himself the FIRST and the LAST. There are not several FIRST and LAST’s but only ONE. Not only that but this verse tells us that there is no other God beside Him. If Jesus called Himself the FIRST and the LAST then the title of God belongs to Him.

Jesus Christ: He Is The Alpha And Omega

Jesus Christ: He Is The Almighty

Back in the first chapter of Revelation we see that the First and the Last is also the Alpha and Omega “… I am Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last…” (Revelation 1:11). When we look back at verse eight we find out that the Alpha and Omega is called the Almighty:

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty (Revelation 1:8).

So we learned in this first chapter of Revelation that Jesus Christ is:

The First and the Last

The Alpha and Omega

The Almighty

The One who was dead but is now alive forevermore

He holds the keys of Hell and Death

He is the one which is, which was, and which is to come

In chapter two of Revelation the fact that the FIRST and the LAST was dead is mentioned again:

And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; (Revelation 2:8)

And in the last chapter of that book and the Bible itself it tells us this:

And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last (Revelation 22:12-13).

The Alpha and Omega, who we have now learned is Jesus Christ, is the very one who will judge every man on the last day. He is the one who is coming again.

Jesus Christ: He Is The Creator Of All Things

I want to leave you with some scripture references to study regarding the attributes of Jesus Christ.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made (John 1:1-3).

In the scripture passage above we learn that the Word is a Person. That Person was WITH God, WAS God, and ALL things were made by that same Word. The Word in this passage is describing the Person of Jesus Christ. This can be proven by the passage of scripture below.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. (John 1:14-17)

This passage tells us that this very same Word was made FLESH, which means that this Word took on a physical body and became a human being. That’s what happened when Christ was born of the Jewish virgin Mary in Bethlehem, fulfilling a prophecy of the prophet Isaiah (Isaiah 7:14). It also tells us that He was the only begotten of the Father, and the same One that John the Baptist declared existed before He ever did. The bottom line is that this Word is describing the eternal Son of God and the One that has always been with the Father in Heaven. If you take a look at the very first verse in the Bible you will find this:

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth (Genesis 1:1).

The Hebrew word for God here is the word ELOHIYM which is the plural form of the word God, and within that Godhead was the person of Christ. A little further down in that chapter we find this:

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them (Genesis 1:26-27).

In the passage above we learn that God used the words “…Let US make man in OUR image…” which is quite interesting. Who was God talking to? The cults will try to explain this verse away by telling you that God was talking to the angels. That argument falls to the ground because the passage tells us that God created man in HIS own image, with no mention of angels anywhere. Then the cults will tell you that God first created Jesus and then Jesus created everything else. But if you take a look in the book of Isaiah you will find a verse that refutes that way of thinking:

Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself; (Isaiah 44:24)

The Bible tells us that the Lord made “ALL THINGS” and that He did this “ALONE” and “BY MYSELF” thus refuting another attack against the deity of Jesus Christ. In the passage below we see that the Father Himself referred to the Son as God, and as the one who laid the foundation of earth and heaven.

But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: (Hebrews 1:8-10)

REVIEW

We return to the question “Is Jesus Christ God?” We can affirmatively answer with a resounding YES to that question. We have seen through the use of the scriptures that:

Jesus Christ Is the Lord God whom John the Baptist prepared the way for (Isaiah 40:3, John 1:22-24).

Jesus Christ is the “I AM” who was alive before Abraham ever existed, and the same God who spoke to Abraham out of the burning bush (John 8:58, Exodus 3:13-14).

Jesus Christ is the First and the Last (Revelation 1:11,17,18, 2:8, Isaiah 44:6).

Jesus Christ is the Alpha and Omega (Revelation 1:8,11).

Jesus Christ was the one who was dead but is now alive forevermore (Revelation 1:17-18,2:8).

Jesus Christ is the one who is coming to judge all (Revelation 22:12-13).

Jesus Christ is the creator of ALL things (John 1:1-3, Genesis 1:1,26-27, Hebrews 1:8-10, Isaiah 44:24).

Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the world and was raised from the dead just like He said He would. The words of the apostle Thomas also declare the deity of Christ:

The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name (John 20:25-31).

SO WHAT HAPPENS TO THOSE THAT DO NOT BELIEVE THAT JESUS CHRIST IS GOD?

THAT PERSON WILL SIMPLY DIE IN THEIR SINS AND BE LOST FOR ETERNITY IN HELL

WHY? SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY REFUSED THE MERCY OF GOD WHICH HAS BEEN OFFERED TO ALL HUMANITY!

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. (John 3:36)

If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. (1 John 5:9-12)

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (Mark 16:15-16)

Is Jesus Christ The Only Way To Heaven? (Or Are There Other Paths That Will Lead Us There?)

Does it really make a difference what a person believes?

Will all religions take us to the same place in the end?

What could be any more important than knowing where you are going to spend eternity? Perhaps the thought of what will happen to your soul after you die has crossed your mind over the years but somehow you manage to squash the thought whenever that happens. Today I would like you to consider that thought and follow it through as I address the question of whether Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven. Of course this article will be answering that question in the affirmative and I will be using the Bible, which I believe to be the Word of God, to defend my position.

Bible Study Synopsis

Jesus Declared That He Was The Only Way –

to the Father (John 14:6) – his Father is in heaven ( Matthew 7:21, 10:32-33) so He was telling us that He was the only way to heaven. Jesus also said that some who called Him Lord were not truly His children (Matthew 7:21) but only those who do the will of the Father. Jesus asked His disciples who they thought He was, and Peter acknowledged Jesus to be the Christ (Messiah) (Matthew 16:13-17). Either Jesus Christ is the Messiah or He is not! That means that every person on the planet, whether Jewish or Gentile, has a choice to make concerning the Messiah.

The Disciples Found The Messiah -

Andrew declared unto Simon Peter that “we have found the Messias (Messiah) (John 1:40-42) which is another confirmation that Jesus is indeed the Messiah.

Jesus Revealed Himself As The Messiah -

To a Gentile Woman – who was a Samaritan. (John 4:21-26). This woman believed in Jesus Christ, along with many others from her village, which shows us that Gentiles were getting saved before Christ died on the cross. Jesus also told this woman that God must be worshiped in “spirit and in truth” showing her that spiritual worship (from the heart) is not and cannot be limited to a physical place, including Jerusalem.

Jesus The Messiah Is Also The Savior

- Having proven the case that Jesus is the Christ (Messiah) it can be easily shown that Jesus is the Saviour also, and therefore the only way to heaven for anyone.

Jesus Declared That He Was The Only Way

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)

This is a very well known verse of scripture and this is the verse where Jesus makes the claim that He is the only way to the Father. I would like to go to some other scriptures in the Bible where Jesus mentions the Father, and heaven, in the same breath so that you can see the point that I am trying to make. I am doing this because Jesus did not mention heaven in John 14:6 and I know that there will be some that will try to twist the scriptures to say something that they do not say. I want to emphasize the point that Jesus Christ is absolutely the only way to heaven and that there is NOT an alternate route to get there.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 7:21)Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 10:32-33)

In the verses above we can see that the Father is in heaven. Given the fact that Jesus said that He was the only way to the Father, then it can also be said that Jesus is also the only way to heaven where His Father resides.

The Disciples Find The Messiah

One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ. And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone. (John 1:40-42)

Here is a very clear verse in the scriptures which show us that Jesus Christ was recognized early on to be the Messiah. Please do not believe those who tell you that there is a different plan for the Jewish people and the Gentile people. There is only ONE Messiah and ONE Saviour according to the scriptures, and His name is Jesus Christ.

I would like to look at some other scriptures from the Word of God just to prove the point that Jesus Christ is the Messiah and that He came at a certain prophesied moment in time. The one thing we must remember is that Christ became the sacrifice for sin, so I am moving through the scriptures with that in mind.

When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 16:13-17)

WHO DO YOU SAY THAT “I AM”?

Here we are getting to the very root of the question as to whether or not Jesus is the only way to heaven. Here Jesus was asking His very own disciples (followers) what the rest of the people were saying about Him. They responded by telling Jesus that some of the people thought that He was John the Baptist, (resurrected) while others thought that Jesus was the prophet Elijah, or Jeremiah, or one of the other prophets of the past.

At this time Jesus put the very same question to them “But whom say ye that I AM?” And Peter responded by telling Jesus that He was the Christ, the Son of the living God. By the way that word Christ means Messiah, so Peter was in fact telling Jesus that He was the Messiah, the Son of the living God. Now Jesus makes a very important statement here in telling Peter (Simon Barjona) that he was a blessed man because that spiritual revelation did not come from flesh and blood (meaning another human being) but from His (Jesus) Father in heaven.

Keep in mind that the disciples were hearing the Word of God directly from the mouth of the Lord, which later became part of the book that we now know as the Bible. The Word of God, which is the truth, came directly into the heart of Peter. His “spiritual light” was turned on to the truth that Jesus was in fact the Messiah

Jesus Reveals Himself As The Messiah

Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee AM HE. (John 4:21-26)

In this passage of scripture the Lord comes into contact with a Samaritan woman by divine appointment. This woman was surprised by the fact that Jesus was even conversing with her because the Jews and the Samaritans did not get along with each other. The woman got a glimpse into the prophetic realm when Jesus revealed her sinful past and the fact that she had five husbands, and that she was currently living with a man that was not her husband. (John 4:16-18)

The conversation then turned to spiritual things. The Lord made it clear to the woman that God must be worshiped “in spirit and in truth” stressing the importance of worship from the heart. It had nothing to do with a geographical location. After a while the Lord revealed to this woman that He was the Messiah. (John 4:26)

Do not miss the fact that the Lord specifically mentioned Jerusalem here when He was speaking on the topic of true worship. Jerusalem in Israel is a city much like many other big cities around the world. In that city there are some who worship the Lord Jesus Christ, but for the most part, He is still rejected, as He was when He walked in Jerusalem back then.

Jesus told us that God must be worshiped in Spirit and truth.

Jesus told the woman that a geographical place, including the earthly city of Jerusalem, did not matter because true worship in Spirit and truth precluded that.

Jesus was able to see into the sinful lifestyle of the woman.

Jesus revealed Himself as the Messiah to this same Gentile woman.

When the Lord’s disciples showed up, they were just as perplexed as she was, that Jesus was speaking with a Samaritan woman. The woman then decided to go back and testify to the people from her village.

And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.

Lessons Learned

The Samaritan woman got saved.

The Lord is able to save anybody in the whole wide world, Jewish or Gentile.

The Lord knew the Samaritan woman’s past but still offered her mercy.

The Samaritan woman became an instant evangelist for Jesus.

Other Samaritans testified that Jesus was the Christ (Messiah).

Other Samaritans testified that Jesus was the Saviour of the world.

Jesus the Messiah was saving Gentiles even before the cross

Jesus The Messiah Is Also The Saviour

We have learned through the most recent passage of scripture that many of the Samaritans came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ calling Him the “Saviour of the world”. Given the fact that the Lord revealed Himself to the “woman at the well” as the Messiah, we can naturally conclude that Jesus is both Messiah and Saviour. We can also conclude that Jesus is offering salvation to both Jew and Gentile.

I would like to look at just a few scriptures in the Bible that contain the word Saviour to further prove that Jesus is the only Saviour.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. (Luke 2:11)

This verse tells us clearly that the Saviour is Jesus Christ and it mentions the city of David, which is Bethlehem, where Christ (Messiah) was born. That was the very place where Micah the prophet said that He would be born. (Micah 5:2)

Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him. (Acts 5:29-32)

In the passage above we see that Peter confronted the Jewish religious leaders, including the High Priest, and told them that obedience to God was more important than obedience to men. He told them the “God of our fathers” (meaning the God of Israel) was the one who raised up Jesus (from the dead)! Jesus, the one that they killed! Peter then went on to say that Jesus was exalted to be a prince and a Saviour offering forgiveness to Israel. Peter then includes the Holy Ghost in his list of witnesses.

The main thing that I want you to get is that the people of Israel were given the same opportunity that the Gentiles were given to accept this person of Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. Paul himself said that the gospel was for the Jew first:

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16)

In this next passage of scripture Titus mentions “God our Saviour” and “The Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour” within the span of two verses. This not only proves Jesus to be the Saviour but it also proves Jesus is God.

But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour; To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour. (Titus 1:3-4)

In the next two verses of scripture we learn that there is no other God beside the one who is the just God and Saviour:

I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.  (Isaiah 43:11)

Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me. (Isaiah 45:21)

In the New Testament book of Acts the same theme is followed, telling us that Jesus Christ is the only name by which a person can be saved:

Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:10-12)

Considering the fact that all people on planet earth have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) and that there are none righteous (Romans 3:10-11) there can be no other way for anyone to be saved apart from the Saviour whom God has provided for us. The blood is the only thing that will atone for the soul (Leviticus 17:11) and the blood that Jesus shed on the cross is the blood that was shed for all mankind.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. (Romans 5:8-9)

We have proven through the scriptures that there is only ONE Messiah who also is the ONE Saviour. Jesus Christ is still the “way, the truth and the life” and there is NOT a single person who will enter heaven unless they come through Him.

And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans. And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert. And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship, Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias  [ISAIAH] the prophet. Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, [ISAIAH] and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth. And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. (Acts 8:25-39)

The angel of the Lord sent Philip to witness to this man.

The angel saw the man studying the book of Isaiah (53:7-8).

The Ethoipian man inquired as to whom Isaiah was speaking about.

Philip immediately preached Jesus unto this man.

The man was baptized and made a public profession

This is the choice for you today, salvation in Christ or damnation without Him.

That is what Jesus taught.

Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (Mark 16:14-16)

Classic Article From June 1838: The Wickedness Of War!

FROM THE CHRISTIAN REVIEW, JUNE 1838, PP. 230–237, UNSIGNED

The war spirit is so wrought into the texture of governments and the habits of national thinking, and even into our very festivals and pomps, that its occasional recurrence is deemed a matter of unavoidable necessity. Setting aside the matter of a defensive war for now, it is our intention to offer a few thoughts to show how utterly at variance the spirit of war is with truth and righteousness.

1. It contradicts the genius and intention of Christianity. Christianity requires us to seek to amend the condition of man. But war cannot do this. The world is no better for all the wars of five thousand years. Christianity, if it prevailed, would make the earth a paradise. War, where it prevails, makes it a slaughterhouse, a den of thieves, a brothel, a hell. Christianity cancels the laws of retaliation. War is based upon that very principle. Christianity is the remedy for all human woes. War produces every woe known to man.

The causes of war, as well as war itself, are contrary to the gospel. It originates in the worst passions and the worst aims. We may always trace it to the thirst of revenge, the acquisition of territory, the monopoly of commerce, the quarrels of kings, the intrigues of ministers, or some other source, equally culpable; but never has any war devised by man been founded on holy tempers and Christian principles.

“War is the greatest plague that can afflict humanity. It destroys religion, it destroys states and it destroys families. Any scourge is preferable to it.” -Martin Luther

2. War sets at nought the example of Jesus. One of Christ’s primary laws is, “Learn of Me, for I am meek” His constant declaration was that He “came not to destroy men’s lives, but to save.” He drove men from the temple, but it was with “a scourge of small cords,” and a gentle doom it was, compared to their just deserts. He expressly said His servants would not fight, because His kingdom was not of this world. He was the Prince of Peace.

Do we forget that Christ is our example? Imagine the Redeemer laying a country waste, setting fire to cities, storming fortresses, and consigning tens of thousands to wounds and anguish, death and damnation, just to define some point of policy, to decide some kingly quarrel, or to enlarge some boundary. Could “meekness and lowliness” be learned from Him thus engaged? It is most certain that we gather no army lessons from Him who “came to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and to comfort all that mourn.” It is most certain that no man who makes fighting his profession can find authority in the example of our Lord.

3. War is inconsistent not only with the general structure and nature of Christianity and the example of Jesus, but it violates all the express precepts of the New Testament. Even the Old Testament does not sanction war, as a custom. In each case of lawful war, it was entered on by express command. It should be remembered that in no case, even under the Old Testament, was war appointed to decide doubtful questions or to settle quarrels. Wars were intended to chastise nations guilty of provoking God. Such is never the pretext of modern war.

As to the New Testament, a multitude of precepts might be quoted: “Ye have heard, an eye for an eye, but I say unto you, resist not evil.” “Follow peace with all men.” “Love one another.” “Do justice, love mercy.” “Love your enemies.” “Follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace.” “Return good for evil.” “Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice; and be ye kind one toward another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God, for Christ’s sake, hath forgiven you.” “Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.”

All know how much these passages abound in the New Testament. There they stand. In any sense the words will bear, they forbid war. If language has any force at all, these words equally forbid retaliation. Yet retaliation is always advanced as the very best pretext for war and is more frequently the avowed reason than any other!

Rehearse all the catalogue of graces, and mark how we are enjoined to be meek, lowly, peaceable, easy to be entreated, gentle, thinking no evil, merciful, slow to anger, given to quietness, knowledge, patience, temperance, prayer. War sets them all at nought.

Of the sermon on the mount, five benedictions are upon the poor in spirit, the mourners, the meek, the merciful, and the peacemakers. Two others are upon the persecuted and reviled. The professed warrior, therefore, shuts himself out from all these benedictions! The discourse expressly revokes the law of retaliation, and, exploding the [practice] of loving our neighbor and hating our enemy, requires us to love our enemies and do good to them which despitefully use us. Afterward, in presenting a form of prayer, it not only teaches us to say, “Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those that trespass against us,” but adds, “If ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your heavenly Father forgive you.” What a peace sermon is here!

The regular soldier … makes war a trade, and is ready to fight any nation, or any part of his own nation, as he is sent. He is to wheel, march, load, fire, advance or flee, just as he is bidden, and because he is bidden. The nearer a soldier comes to a mere machine, the better soldier he makes. Is this right for a Christian? Is it compatible with his duty to “examine all things, and hold fast that which is good?”

What gospel precept is there, which he who makes war a profession is not at times compelled to violate? He must cast away meekness, and fight. He must cast away forgiveness, and revenge his country. He must not return good for evil, but blow for blow, wound for wound.

Look at an army in the hour of battle. See attacks and retreats, battalions annihilated, limbs flying in the air; suffocating smoke, thundering artillery, thousands smarting in the agony of death, and none to administer a cup of water. Do the precepts of Christianity authorize such a scene? Look at the field when all is over. The harvest trampled and destroyed, houses smoking in ruin, the mangled and slain strewed among dead horses and broken gun-carriages! Prowlers stripping booty even from the warm bodies of the dying! Jackals lurking around, and birds of prey wheeling above. Here and there a wretched widow, or an anxious wife, seeking her loved one among the dead and dying. Does all this look as if Christians had there been serving their Master, the God of mercy?

But nowhere does war wear such horrors as in a siege. The inhabitants are straitly shut up. Business, pleasure, education and intercourse are checked; and sorrow, poverty, terror, and distress are spread abroad. The bombardment begins. Shells explode in the streets, or penetrate the roofs. Citizens are killed in the streets, and soldiers on the ramparts. Women and children retreat to cellars and live in all discomfort. Day by day the gloom thickens. All news is of houses burnt, persons killed, and scarcity increased, At length, famine is threatened. Everything is sold to buy a little food.

Anon, breaches are made in the walls. All must work, amid galling fire, to repair them. Mines are sprung, blowing houses and the occupants into the air. No relief comes. Hundreds perish in desperate sorties. All are miserable. The widow, the bereft mother, the disappointed bride, and the tender orphan, mourn continually.

Pestilence succeeds to famine. Thousands, who have escaped violence, die of disease. At length, the city is taken by storm; pillage, and perhaps an awful conflagration, succeed; a brutal soldiery raven among the virtuous; and the indescribable scene ends in permanent poverty, lamentation, and dishonor. Is this Christianity?

HAS CHARLIE DARWIN MADE A MONKEY OUT OF YOU?

If a person takes the time to study the scriptures they will find the answer to the endless debate between EVOLUTION and CREATIONISM. They will see that God is the creator of ALL things. A person can either believe the RELIGION of EVOLUTION or they can believe the scriptures. They can take people like Charles Darwin at his word, or they can take GOD at His word!

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. (Genesis 1:26-27)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. (John 1:1-3)

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)

It is really simple. You have a choice to make here. You can CHOOSE to believe that you evolved from a lower form of life, like our furry friend below, or you can CHOOSE to believe that Jesus Christ made ALL things as the Bible teaches us. You can choose to GAMBLE and hope that you evolved from a lower form of life, or you can CHOOSE to believe the Bible truth, repent, and believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The choice is yours.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. (John 1:1-3)

DID ISRAEL PUT JESUS CHRIST TO DEATH?

The scriptural evidence regarding the death of Jesus Christ is simply overwhelming. The Lord Jesus Christ came unto his own people, and yet, for the most part they rejected Him.

THE MAJORITY OF JEWISH PEOPLE REJECTED JESUS CHRIST

He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (John 1:11-12)

JESUS PROPHESIED HIS OWN DEATH AT THE HANDS OF JEWISH LEADERS

From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. (Matthew 16:21)

And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. (Mark 8:31)

And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus went before them: and they were amazed; and as they followed, they were afraid. And he took again the twelve, and began to tell them what things should happen unto him, Saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles: (Mark 10:32-33)

THE JEWISH LEADERS QUESTIONED THE AUTHORITY OF CHRIST

And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority? (Matthew 21:23)

THE JEWISH LEADERS REJECTED THE DEITY OF CHRIST AND THEREFORE WANTED TO KILL HIM

And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day. But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God. (John 5:16-18)

I and my Father are one. Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. (John 10:30-33)

And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the LORD, shall be put to death. (Leviticus 24:16)

JESUS KNEW THE HOUR OF HIS BETRAYAL AND DEATH WAS NEAR

And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his disciples, Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified. Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him. (Matthew 26:1-4)

ISRAEL’S  PROPHETS PREDICTED THAT JESUS THE CHRIST  (MESSIAH) WOULD BE KILLED

Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished. (Luke 18:31)

THE JEWISH HIGH PRIEST PUT JESUS TO DEATH BECAUSE JESUS SAID HE WAS THE CHRIST [MESSIAH]

And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none. For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together. And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying,  We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands. But neither so did their witness agree together. And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee? But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses? Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death. (Mark 14:55-64)

THE JEWISH LEADERS PAID JUDAS ISCARIOT THIRTY PIECES OF SILVER  TO BETRAY JESUS THUS FULFILLING AN OLD TESTAMENT PROPHECY

When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death: And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor. Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that. (Matthew 27:1-4)

And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver. And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD. (Zechariah 11:12-13)

THE APOSTLE PETER DECLARED THAT ISRAEL CRUCIFIED JESUS

Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:10-12)

These are actual quotes from the Bible (the Word of God) and they clearly show us that Jesus Christ was rejected for the most part by the Jewish people.

The scriptures clearly show us that the Jewish leaders rejected the authority and deity of Jesus Christ and considered it blasphemy.

Has anything changed?

The majority of Jewish people still reject the authority of Jesus the Christ

The majority of Jewish people still reject the deity of Jesus the Christ

The majority of Jewish people still reject that Jesus is the Christ (Messiah)

The words of the apostle Peter still stand true to this day, and Jesus the Christ (Messiah) is still the only way of salvation!

CAN DEMONS JUMP FROM PERSON TO PIG?

That is the question that will be addressed in this article here today. There is in fact, an actual case recorded in the scriptures (the Bible) where a legion of demons were cast out of a man,  into a herd of swine. (approximately 2000)

And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes. And when he (JESUS) was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him. And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones. (Mark 5:1-5)

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, along with his disciples (followers) came upon a man who had an unclean spirit. (The man was demon possessed) That man made his home among the tombs (graves) and he was obviously very fierce, as nobody was able to tame him. The man’s behaviour was self destructive to say the least.

But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not. For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many. And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country. (Mark 5:6-10)

It is most interesting that the demons inside this tormented man recognized Jesus, to be the Son of Almighty God, and that they knew He (Jesus) had power over them. When Jesus spoke to the demon and asked him his name, the demon responded, saying that his name was LEGION, because there were many of them. It is a very sobering thing when you realize that one man could be possessed by so many demon spirits. To the outside observer, this man was nothing more than a man with severe mental problems, but Jesus Christ the Son of God knew better than that. Jesus knew full well that this man had a SPIRITUAL problem, and he also knew that HE was the remedy to that SPIRITUAL problem.

Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding. And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them. And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea. (Mark 5:11-13)

Here we have the devils (demons) begging Jesus Christ to allow them to ENTER into a herd of swine (PIGS), that were feeding nearby. The Lord Jesus Christ allowed that to happen, and immediately the herd of swine, became self destructive themselves, and ran into the water and drowned themselves. This is absolutely mind boggling when you think about it. Can you picture 2000 pigs running violently at the same time?  There must have been a LOUD ROAR as they ALL headed into the sea. There could have more than 2000 demon spirits that ENTERED into those pigs, considering the FACT that so many ENTERED into that one man.

And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done. And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine. And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts. (Mark 5:14-17)

So what happened to the man who was demon possessed in the first place. That same man was now clothed, and in his right mind. that same man who was probably well known to those who lived nearby, was now perfectly normal again. That man had his life dramatically transformed through an encounter with Jesus Christ. There were none who were able to offer that man any help, but Jesus was the ONE person who had the POWER to help him.

And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him. Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel. (Mark 5:18-20)

The man who was demon possessed begged the Lord Jesus Christ to allow him to travel with him, but the Lord told him to go tell others what the LORD had done for him.

LESSONS LEARNED

1] It is an ABSOLUTE TRUTH that demons can  be TRANSFERRED from human beings, into swine (pigs), and any other animal for that matter.

2] Demons often cause people, and animals to act in a violent, and self destructive manner.

3] People often go to the wrong people for help, when they have a SPIRITUAL problem, which ONLY Jesus Christ can heal.

4] Jesus Christ was recognized to be the Son of God, by those demon spirits, while billions of people in the world,  still DENY that truth to this day.

CAN A PERSON BE SAVED WITHOUT FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST?

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is such a simple message that Gospel, is available for every person in the entire world.

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:4-7)

Until a person comes to the point where they realize their own LOST and SINFUL condition, there is absolutely NO HOPE for them at all. Why would a person seek after MERCY from God if they do not see their OWN need for it? Why do people think that a person is ‘at peace’ or in a ‘better place’ after they die, when they never showed a drop of interest in God, or His mercy while they lived on this earth? Where do they get that information from? They are certainly NOT getting that information from the Bible. But for the believer in JESUS CHRIST, there is reason to rejoice because the passage above declares the believer in Jesus Christ to be quickened (made ALIVE) with Christ,  RAISED UP and sitting with him. Where? In HEAVENLY PLACES! How did this happen? Simply by God’s GRACE and MERCY!

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:8-10)

This GIFT of SALVATION is available to ALL people, both Jewish and Gentile. There is NO SPECIAL DISTINCTION between the two people. If a person rejects Jesus Christ, then they are rejecting the very one whom God the Father sent to SAVE the world. There will be NO EXCUSES for any person on JUDGMENT DAY, because the LORD offers his GRACE, MERCY and SALVATION to ALL people, because ALL people have SINNED and need the mercy of God.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (Romans 3:23)

There are absolutely NO EXCEPTIONS to that rule.

Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. (Ephesians 2:11-13)

Could it be any clearer? The Gentiles are no longer ALIENS from the commonwealth of ISRAEL, and the COVENANTS of PROMISE. Why? Because they have been made nigh (NEAR) by the BLOOD OF CHRIST! If the Gentiles have been made NEAR by the BLOOD of  JESUS CHRIST to the PROMISES and to the commonwealth of ISRAEL, then it is quite obvious that the TRUE ISRAEL includes only those who are true believers in JESUS CHRIST.

For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. (Ephesians 2:14-18)

JESUS CHRIST is our PEACE and he broke down the WALL of PARTITION that separated JEW and GENTILE at the CROSS! This is no light thing and all of the PROPHETS of God bear witness that JESUS was in fact the promised CHRIST (MESSIAH). Both JEW and GENTILE now have access by the SAME HOLY SPIRIT unto the Father in Heaven. This PEACE that is offered by God is for ALL people on planet EARTH.

Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. (Ephesians 2:19-22)

The true believer in JESUS CHRIST is part of the HOUSEHOLD of Almighty GOD!

The true believer in JESUS CHRIST can REST ASSURED that they have a foundation that is in agreement with GOD’S apostles and prophets!

The true believer in JESUS CHRIST can REST ASSURED that JESUS CHRIST Himself is the very CORNERSTONE of that SPIRITUAL TEMPLE OF GOD!

It does not matter whether a person is JEWISH or GENTILE. If a person refuses JESUS CHRIST then they are refusing the very SALVATION that the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has to offer them. If a person declares otherwise, then I tell you that they are a BOGUS CHRISTIAN and they are preaching a BOGUS GOSPEL! The Jewish apostle  Paul knows better than most, that a person can be very RELIGIOUS, and also very LOST, until they come to understand that Jesus Christ is the way of salvation for both JEW and GENTILE!

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16)

The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; (Mark 1:1)

JESUS CHRIST IS STILL THE ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN!

You can read the Bible from cover to cover, and if you are truly seeking the Lord, you will have to come to the conclusion that Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven. If that is not true, then Jesus would be a LIAR! because he said that he was the only way:

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)

That same Jesus declared that a person was CONDEMNED without him!

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:17-18)

That same Jesus told his own Jewish people that they would DIE in their SINS without faith in him!

And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. (John 8:23-24)

After Jesus Christ was crucified, and rose from the dead, he declared that those who believed the Gospel would be SAVED, and the unbelievers DAMNED!

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (Mark 16:15-16)

The apostle John, who wrote a Gospel account, the book of Revelation and other epistles, declared that the WRATH of GOD was upon those who did not believe in Jesus Christ!

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. (John 3:36)

The apostle Peter declared that there was NO OTHER NAME but the name of JESUS, by which a person might be SAVED!

Jesus Christ told his own Jewish people that their own scriptures TESTIFIED of himself, but they they still REFUSED to come to him that they might have LIFE!

Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. (John 5:39-40)

CONCLUSION OF THE MATTER

Jesus is the ONLY way to Heaven

The believer in Jesus Christ is NOT condemned, but the UNBELIEVER is condemned already

If a person rejects Jesus Christ, then they WILL die in their sins

If a person believes in Jesus Christ then they will be SAVED, but the UNBELIEVER will be DAMNED!

The BELIEVER in Jesus Christ has EVERLASTING LIFE, but if a person rejects Jesus Christ, then the WRATH of God is  already upon them

There is absolutely NO OTHER NAME, and person outside of Jesus Christ, by which a person can be SAVED!

A person may read the scriptures, and even memorize them, but still be without salvation and eternal life, which is found in Jesus Christ alone!

These are BASIC and SIMPLE Bible truths = Do not be DECEIVED by the many BOGUS man-pleasing messages that are around today

THE PASSOVER HAS NO MEANING WITHOUT JESUS CHRIST!

When we take a look at the feast of Passover through the study of the scriptures, you will see very clearly that it all has to do with Jesus Christ. There is no meaning in Passover without Jesus Christ. The Jewish apostle Paul referred to Christ as the Passover sacrifice:

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: (1 Corinthians 5:7)

Paul referred to the crucified and risen Jesus Christ as our passover, because Jesus was in fact the very true fulfillment of the Passover and every other sacrifice also. In the Old Testament book of Exodus the children of Israel were told to take a lamb without blemish, KILL IT and then apply that blood to the side and upper posts of that their doors. [Exodus 12:5-7]

For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD. And the BLOOD shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the BLOOD, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. (Exodus 12:12-13)

What beautiful words are they indeed: “When I see the BLOOD, I will pass over you.” The Lord protected His people, and the firstborn were saved from destruction by simple faith in their Lord. Fast forward to the 21st Century and their are literally millions of people who serve the very same Lord that those children of Israel served back then.  I serve the same Lord that Moses served and His name is Jesus Christ. I can say today that His BLOOD is upon the doorposts of my heart, and that I too will be saved from destruction because of the BLOOD of Jesus Christ. In fact, the BLOOD that Jesus Christ shed is the reality of all of those types and shadows which pointed to Him.

If one were to study the Day of Atonement they would learn this also pointed to the person of Jesus Christ. On that day the Jewish High Priest would enter into the Holy Place [Holy of Holies] behind the veil into the very presence of God. He would bring the BLOOD and apply that BLOOD to the mercy seat which covered the ark of the Covenant. The BLOOD was to atone for the sins of the people. But there is a greater BLOOD sacrifice which took place almost two thousand years ago, that superseded, and put out of commission all of those Old Testament sacrifices, and that was the sacrifice of Christ upon the cross.

But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the BLOOD of goats and calves, but by his own BLOOD he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the BLOOD of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the BLOOD of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (Hebrews 9:11-14)

The big difference between those Old Testament sacrifices [offered under the Law], and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, was the fact that Jesus Christ offered Himself willingly. Jesus Christ left the glory of Heaven and was manifested in the flesh for that very purpose.

And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament [covenant], that by means of  DEATH,  for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. (Hebrews 9:15)

The New Covenant is in the BLOOD of Jesus Christ because it was He who laid down His life for the sin of the world. If you travel to Israel you will not see a Tabernacle, or a Temple anymore, because the Lord Jesus Christ was the final sacrifice for mankind. There will be no more sacrifices. To reject the very Son of God is a most serious matter, because this is the only one who was sent by the Father to die for our sins. It does not matter whether a person is Jewish or Gentile, the BLOOD of Jesus Christ is still the only atonement for any person alive today, and the only BLOOD that will keep you out of Hell.

For the life of the flesh is in the BLOOD: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the BLOOD that maketh an atonement for the soul. (Leviticus 17:11)

When Jesus Christ died on that old rugged cross the veil in the Jewish Temple was torn in half from top to bottom by a supernatural act of God.

Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost [DIED]. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; (Matthew 27:50-51)

That happened because Jesus Christ, the ultimate High Priest, had just entered behind the true veil. Jesus Christ cried out “It Is Finished” [John 19:30] because it WAS finished and He knew that. To reject this BLOOD atonement is to reject salvation itself and to remain in one’s sins. It is that simple and it is that clear.

And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. (John 8:23-24)

What heavy words did the Lord Jesus Christ use against the religious leaders of Israel when He spoke right there. Could it be any clearer than that? The Lord Himself declared that the Jewish people were doomed without faith in Him. God is an equal opportunity God, and He shows no partiality. Those words apply not only to the Jewish people, but to every single one of us. The majority of people in the world still reject Jesus Christ and therefore they will die in their sins without Him.

We would all be in sad shape if the story ended on the cross where Christ died, but I thank God that it did not end there. The Lord rose from the dead just like He said He would.

And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet. And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat? And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. And he took it, and did eat before them. And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. (Luke 24:38-47)

The Lord is the only Passover Lamb who got back up from the dead. Is that not awesome? The Lord was the perfect unblemished Lamb of God, of whom John the Baptist spoke about when He first saw Him:

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. (John 1:29)

The BLOOD of Jesus Christ is still as powerful to save souls as it was back then when He died on the cross.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Romans 10:9)

WHY DID JESUS REVEAL HIMSELF AS THE MESSIAH TO A 5X MARRIED GENTILE WOMAN WHO WAS LIVING WITH A MAN?

You just have to love the way Jesus went about his business when he walked this earth. In the New Testament book of John Chapter Four, there is a wonderful account of a meeting that the Lord had with a Samaritan woman at the well. Jesus made a point one day to go through Samaria, and he came to a city called Sychar (formerly called Shechem), very near to the place where the Jewish patriarch Jacob, bought land which he eventually gave to his son Joseph. (Genesis 33:19, Joshua 24:32) Jesus was thirsty and he asked a Samaritan woman who had come to draw water from a well, for a drink.

Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour. There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. (John 4:6-9)

This woman was totally perplexed as to why Jesus, who was Jewish, would even be talking with her, because the Jews and the Samaritans did not like each other at all. Jesus then spoke to this woman about a different kind of water, which he called ‘living water.’ (John 4:10) The woman did not understand what Jesus was talking about, and she noticed that Jesus did not have a waterpot with him to draw water out of the well, as she did. (John 4:11) Jesus went on to talk about that living water and everlasting life, speaking  about a spiritual water that cannot be seen. He told her that the water that she was fetching from the well, would quench the human thirst for a limited amount of time, but those who drank of the spiritual living water, would never thirst. (John 4:11-14)

The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw. Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither. The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband: For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly. The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. (John 4:15-19)

The Samaritan woman became very interested at that point, and she liked the idea that she would not have to keep returning to the well to fetch more water.(John 4:15) It is obvious that the Samaritan woman was still thinking about the physical natural water from the well, whereas Jesus was talking about the living waters, (the Spirit of the living God) Jesus then went about to search the heart of this Samaritan woman, so he asked her to get her husband. After the woman told him that she had no husband, Jesus told her that she answered in truth, and then he told her that she was married 5 times before, and the man she was living with, was not her husband. This must have absolutely rocked this woman to the very core of her being. That is why she perceived Jesus to be a prophet! This woman was a Samaritan, and her religion was a mixture of both truth and idolatry which would have been considered mongrel (and rightfully so) by the Jewish people. She continued to talk with Jesus:

Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. (John 4:20-21)

Jesus was very well aware of the animositywhich these two groups held toward each other, and yet at the same time, he saw the hunger in this woman’s heart for truth and salvation. The Samaritan woman told Jesus that she knew  all about the city of Jerusalem and their form of worship, but Jesus basically told her, that the GEOGRAPHICAL location really did not matter at all, and he specifically mentioned Jerusalem. Jesus was telling her that the only worship that was acceptable to God, must be done in spirit and truth:

Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:22-24)

Do not miss what Jesus said here. He told this Samaritan (Gentile -non Jewish) woman that the hour was coming ‘AND NOW IS’, when the true worshippers would worship God in Spirit and in truth. The physical Jewish Temple was still standing in Jerusalem at that point in time, but Jesus did NOT connect that with the true worship of God at all. In fact Jesus went into the Jewish Temple and turned everything upside down, and he rebuked them for making God’s house a house of merchandise. (John 2:13-17)

The Samaritan (Gentile) woman then said this to Jesus:

The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. (John 4:25)

Do not miss this. The woman knew that the Messiah was coming, and she also knew that he knew all things. Keep in mind that Jesus had already revealed her own past to her so she was very interested in what Jesus would say about this.

Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he. (John 4:26)

Folks, that is absolutely awesome. Jesus revealed himself to be the Messiah to a woman who was married 5 times before, and who was presently living with a man! Why did he do that? Simply because he saw the heart of this woman, and he saw that she hungered for the truth. Jesus spoke about the GIFT OF GOD when he told her about the LIVING WATER. (John 4:10) Her life was probably a most difficult one, considering the fact that she had been married so many times before. Who knows what must have been going on in her mind. I am sure that she often wondered if there was any hope for a person such as her. Jesus Christ came to seek and to save the lost (Luke 19:10), and this woman was simply one of the many millions that Christ has touched and SAVED, over the centuries. That is the reason that Jesus stopped at the well that day. Jesus had a DIVINE APPOINTMENT with this woman, who was truly searching for truth, and hopeless, and he was the fullfillment of her very hope.

The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? Then they went out of the city, and came unto him. (John 4:28-30)

Can you see the excitement that this woman now had? There was now a fresh bounce in her step as she excitedly told others about the Messiah she had just met.

And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.

What was the result of this woman’s evangelistic efforts? The Samaritans wanted to meet Jesus for themselves (smart move), and they wanted to hear what he had to say. They got to meet Jesus, and they came out convinced that he was indeed (the real deal), the  Christ (Messiah) and the Saviour of the world.

That true event took place nearly two thousand years ago. The Geographical location still does NOT matter at all, and that most definitely includes the city of Jerusalem. There are men and women all over the world, some rich and some poor, who are truly seeking to know the Lord, and there are others who are very religious, but they do not desire to worship God in spirit and in truth. The people of Samaria came to the right conclusion that Jesus is the SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD because he is. The MERCY of God is still available to any person, who TRULY desires to receive the forgiveness of sins, and everlasting life.

For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. (Romans 5:6-10)

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the good news which is available to ALL people including Jewish and Gentile people living in Jerusalem, and every other part of the entire world. There are no SPECIAL  exemptions and there are no SPECIAL people. ALL qualify for this SALVATION plan, because ALL people are sinners!

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: (Romans 3:10)

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (Romans 3:23)

And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. (Luke 24:46-47)

WHY IS TBN SELLING BOOKS THAT PROMOTE THE FALSE GOSPEL OF ROME?

I have a book entitled ”The Glories Of Mary” by St Alphonsus Liguori which encourages people to call upon Mary and to pray to her in time of need.  This same book (different publisher) is actually being sold at the TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network), along with many, many other books about Mary, the Rosary, Pope Benedict, Pope John Paul II, The Roman Catholic Mass etc. I was aware that TBN compromised with Rome, but I must say that I was amazed at the volume of Roman Catholic material that is being sold through their website. Check out this short video to see for yourself.

The Devil will always steer a person away from the only hope and refuge for their soul, and that is the person of Jesus Christ. I encourage you to check out the other resources listed below for further understanding on this subject.

IS IT NECESSARY FOR A JEWISH PERSON TO PUT THEIR FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST IN ORDER TO ENTER HEAVEN?

We are living in a day where there is much confusion regarding the issue of salvation, and who is going to Heaven and who is going to Hell. Not only that, but when it comes to the topic of Israel, we have the modern day Christian Zionists, who will lead many to believe that the people of Israel still continue to be the chosen people of God, in spite of their rejection of Jesus the Christ (Messiah). If a person would simply study the Gospel accounts, and listen to the words of Jesus himself, then their spiritual eyes would  be opened up. That is of course if they truly believe the words of Christ himself. When we study the scriptures, we will find that it is a spiritual IMPOSSIBILITY for a person to reject Jesus and still be saved. It could not be any clearer than how the scriptures present it to us. Let us take a look at some of the statements from Jesus Christ himself.

Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come. Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come. And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. (John 8:21-24)

In this  passage Jesus was talking with the religious Jewish people of his day, and he told them that if they did not believe in him, then they would die in their sins. That statement by Jesus is still in effect today, and it has not changed one bit. The majority of Jewish people throughout the world, including those residing in the modern day State of Israel, refuse to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, and according to Jesus, they will die in their sins without him.

Here is another statement from Jesus Christ to the religious Jewish people of his day:

Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. (John 5:39-40)

In this powerful portion of scripture, the Lord is basically telling them that their own scriptures (including Moses and the prophets) testified about himself, and yet they would not come to him, that they might have life (eternal). Once again, it is made so very clear by Jesus, that the Jewish people who rejected him, were VOID of the eternal life that he offered to them. In plain English, a person who rejects Jesus Christ, and dies in their sins, will end up in Hell, and it does not matter if they are Jewish or Gentile. Once again I tell you that it is IMPOSSIBLE for a people to be  the CHOSEN of God, and yet reject Jesus, the Son, whom God has sent.  After Jesus Christ rose from the dead, he told his followers in no uncertain terms, that his death and resurrection were a  FULFILLMENT of what Moses and the prophets had already foretold!

And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. (Luke 24:36-47)

The apostle John put it this way:

If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. (1 John 5:9-12)

That passage shows us that it is IMPOSSIBLE to be in a right relationship with God, and yet reject the record (testimony) that God gave of his own Son. It tells us that those who do NOT believe the record, that God gave of his Son Jesus, make him out to be a LIAR. John told us that ETERNAL LIFE was found in the Son of God, whom the Jewish people reject (for the most part). The Jewish people DO NOT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE, according to the scriptures, because they do NOT believe in the Son of God. Jesus Christ said this:

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. (John 5:24)

Jesus the Messiah also said this:

He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me. (Luke 10:16)

Jesus made it clear that those who despise any preacher of the Gospel, are actually despising him, and his Father, at the same time!

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. (John 3:36)

Do not be deceived by the smooth talking preachersof our day. They will vacuum the money right out of your wallets and pocketbooks. Take the time to study the scriptures for yourself, and do not support those who are preaching a message that is contrary to the message of Jesus Christ.

BREAKING FREE FROM THE CULT OF ‘CHRISTIAN’ ZIONISM THROUGH THE TRUTH OF GOD’S WORD!

The Gospel of God is all about Jesus Christ there is no other gospel. Whatever a person does with the person of Jesus Christ will most definitely determine their eternal destiny. The Jewish apostle Paul said this in the book of Romans.

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: (Romans 1:1-4)

This gospel was promised by the very prophets of God, and it concerns his Son, Jesus Christ. The resurrection of Christ was powerful proof, that this person Jesus Christ, was in fact the Son of God, the one of whom the prophets foretold.

And ye are witnesses of these things. And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. (Luke 24:44-49)

The words above were spoken by Jesus Christ to his closest followers, after he rose from the dead. Jesus mentioned the law of Moses, the prophets and the Psalms, and he said that it all had to do with him. He was opening up their understanding, so that they would see that the scriptures and him are in full agreement. Then he went on to say that the message he wanted them to preach was one of repentance and remission (removal) of sins in his name. Where was that message to begin? Right there at Jerusalem. The message was to go to the Jew first and then outward to the nations. That message has not changed one drop since the very day when Christ spoke those words. The message is salvation in Jesus Christ or damnation without him. That same Jesus spoke also spoke these words after he rose from the dead.

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (Mark 16:15-16)

Folks, that is so clear that a child could understand it, and it was meant to be that way. The Jewish apostle Paul understood the Gospel and he also made it clear that the gospel would go to the Jew first, and he was not ashamed to say that either.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. (Romans 1:16-17)

The Jewish apostle Paul was formerly a great persecutor and an absolute tyrant, to those people who believed in Jesus Christ. Some of those faithful Christians were put to death with his full approval!  (Acts 26:9-11) That is not a light thing ladies and gentlemen. Prior to his conversion, Paul truly thought that he was serving God, but he was in direct opposition to him. After his conversion to Christ, Paul preached the very faith, which he once destroyed! (Galatians 1:23) and immediately the Jewish unbelievers sought to kill him. (Acts 9:20-24) When Jesus walked this earth it was evident that the majority of Jewish people at the time of Christ did not receive him (John 1:11) and Jesus was constantly in confrontations with them. They had the scriptures for sure, but they did not understand them according to Jesus Christ. Listen to what what Jesus said to them:

Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. I receive not honour from men. But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. (John 5:39-43)

Jesus was basically telling them that they had the scriptures, and those same scriptures prophesied of him, and yet they would not come to him, and receive eternal life. The apostle John wrote this concerning those who believe and those who do not believe in Christ.

As you read this article here, you are either a believer in Jesus Christ, with the witness of the Holy Spirit, and you have eternal life in Christ, or you are an unbeliever in  Jesus Christ without eternal life. It is that simple and it is that clear. The scripture also tells us that those who do not receive this testimony that God gave of his Son, Jesus, make God to be a liar. That also is very clear and straightforward. For nearly two thousand years people by the millions have trusted Jesus Christ, and have thus received eternal life, while people by the billions have refused the counsel of the scriptures, and have thus have received damnation.

THE SCOFIELD STUDY BIBLE AND THE GOSPEL ADD-ON

Many modern day preachers and teachers have been influenced and deceived by false teachers such as C.I. Scofield, who is famous for the Scofield  Study Bible, and have come up with a Gospel add-on which focuses on ethnic Israel. Many brainwashed preachers, and Pastors, have intimidated millions, (and brainwashed them also) by telling them that they must bless ethnic Israel in order to be blessed, or they will be under a curse. They will go so far as to declare that the USA is a blessed country, only because it has blessed modern day Israel. Sorry folks but my Bible tells me that I am already blessed through faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus described the people that are blessed. (Matthew 5:3-12) That list includes, the meek, (Matthew 5:5) the merciful, (Matthew 5:7) and the peacemakers, (Matthew 5:9). My Bible tells me that the Lord is going to prepare a mansion (John 14:1-3) for me, so that I may be with him, and Jesus NEVER told me that I needed to BLESS people who outright REJECT HIM as LORD! Not only that, but JESUS told me that HE was the only way to get there! (John 14:6) That same Jesus NEVER sounded like he was PARTIAL to any one place in this world either. When the rulers interrogated Jesus, he said this:

Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done? Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. (John 18:35-37)

Did you hear what Jesus said there? He said that every one that is OF THE TRUTH heareth HIS VOICE! The Kingdom of God is NOT of this world ladies and gentlemen. It is a SPIRITUAL KINGDOM, and a person will NOT enter into that Kingdom unless they come through JESUS CHRIST! Keep those scriptures in mind the next time you support war either over in the Middle East or anywhere else in the world. Not only that, but I know that the very gospel that I believe, is available to every Jewish and Gentile person in Israel, and every other nation in the world also. All people who reject Jesus Christ are under a curse according to the Bible! The Law of God absolutely silences any man or woman from justifying themselves before God!

Jesus Christ came to redeem us from the curse of the law, which shows us all to be sinners, and guilty in his sight!

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: (Galatians 3:13)

I am as blessed as can be because of what Jesus Christ did on the cross for me. I have been reconciled back to God and have peace through the blood of the cross. (Colossians 1:20) In fact I would be in direct OPPOSITION to Jesus Christ if I lend my support to ethnic Israel, who are of an ‘antichrist spirit’ according to John, one of the closest followers of Christ. John wrote a Gospel account, the book of Revelation and several letters also which became scripture. I choose to obey the Spirit of truth and take heed to the warning that my faithful brother John preached. Here are the verses of scripture that warn about that ‘antichrist spirit.’

Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. (1 John 2:18)

Keep those scriptures in mind as you pledge your unquestionable support to ethnic Israel. You may just find yourself battling against Jesus Christ whom you claim to serve. The Bible declares that a true believer has been transferred into the kingdom of God by faith in Jesus Christ. That is what the people of Israel need to do also. They must repent and believe the Gospel of Christ in order to enter into that kingdom of God! (Mark 1:15)

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: (Colossians 1:12-13)

Considering the fact that the kingdom of God is a spiritual kingdom, it is high time for people to break free of the cult of so  called ‘Christian’ Zionism.’ The true Jesus Christ has taken the kingdom from unbelieving Israel, because of their rejection of him, and that is why he gave the parable of the vineyard. (Matthew 21:33-46) Jesus also said that he would give the kingdom, to another nation, and that nation is made up of Jewish and Gentile people who BELIEVE in Jesus Christ!  (1Peter 2:9-10 ) As a born again, Bible believing Christian, I belong to THAT nation, which the  Jewish apostle Peter spoke about. I will not support those who oppose the very Lamb of God, and my sweet Jesus, who was slain for my sins, who shed his precious BLOOD for me on the cross, and I hope that you will not either. How could I support a group of people who reject him as the Messiah and the Son of God? If you have been seduced by that false teaching, please run as fast as you can from those who teach that! If you want to BLESS Israel, then tell them that they need to repent and believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ, just like everyone else!

For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. (Romans 5:6-11)

The people of the world, including those who reside in the modern day State of Israel, who reject Christ would be considered ungodly according to the Jewish apostle Paul.  According to the scriptures, the absolute love of God is available to every person, Jewish or Gentile, as much as it was to the apostle Paul. But should a person, Jewish or Gentile,  reject the mercy which God offers to them,  then they would NOT be justified or reconciled in God’s sight, but they would continue to be his enemy.
